Why not weld the nuts to the skid frame so you don't have to use a wrench on the other side when you break them lose? I did that on mine and counter sunk all the bolt holes. Ordered a bunch of 3/8 Allen head bolts and it's smooth as a babies ass on the bottom.

Two reasons.
1. I didn't have a place to buy weld nuts from when I bought the hardware today
2. I wanted a lock nut
It really isnt much headache to take the bolts out. Cordless impact on one end and a 3t4 combination wrench on the other makes quick work.


Replacement supposedly on the way but they are on national back order so this project may be delayed a bit. Lincoln doesn't make them like they used to. I've always been a red fan but I may be shopping for a different color TIG this go around
Going to rock what I got for a bit and keep an eye out for a set of axles that are already built.
