selling your rig? not here unless you're popular...

No one likes me either :( they haven't posted anything on the hardtop I have for sale. Its the greatest hardtop ever. I don't know why no one wants it. Can't have anything to do with it only fits on maybe 10-15% of the vehicles people have on this site, right?

No one cares for your Jeep, its built to your tastes, and far from the normal, normal sells the quickest.

Just because some of the other rigs for sale have high prices on them and lots of replies in the for sale ad threads doesn't mean they are selling.

I buy and sell on here all the time, and have really only met about 10 people from the board (and that's because I go pick up parts)...I don't think anyone here knows me for anything other than being a relatively active poster that likes to chip in his .02. Threads like this don't help.

Don't feel bad though, there are other "popular" members here on NC4x4 that I would also never consider buying a vehicle from.
I'm glad you qualified that with "popular" or I would have been offended :flipoff2:

Wait, you aren't popular? Dammit, I bought this damn truck from you with the hope of hanging on to it till you die so I can then sell it for twice as much since you once owned it. Shit.

don't think you guys realized it not the yellow XJ thats for sale it's this beauty right here!! so I will just leave this here and make no comments about the open 30, or the PVC dorkel...............

hey yall got me all wrong.....I never ever said my jeep is the shit or even close to it....I just have seen lots of what 'seems' to be favorites postings/interest in someone just cause their known and none for others unknown. I never spoke of my jeep as the shit by far, and I just don't believe you have to know someone to know what ur buying and what's on it. I know what jeeps have, don't have, can do and can't do so when I buy one, i go by what i know not what the person says it's got...so therefor it doesn't matter what they say it has or doesn't have...i look for myself and judge myself what it's selling and what truth there is to the truck, that's where I was coming from. but anyways, really don't care that jeep hasn't sold, it was just something I noticed...and bored so i chit chatted about..nothing to freak out over folks. there's other worst posts on here

OP,

Just because you think your XJ is greta or better or whatever doesn't make it so.

IT may not appeal to others. That's the way it goes.

I look at that pic and the first thing I see in my mnd is that "snorkle" being torn off by a tree. Then I stopped looking.

well, at least my "dorkel" works for only $27 bucks and not some ridiculous 300 that others would spend just to look pretty!!!!!!!!!

PS. Serious question: How old are you?

I remember when I was young and knew everything. It's strange how the older I get, the less I know. I've become aware that their are opinions out there other than my own. I just have to be observant, open my ears and my mind and sometimes I can still learn something.

hey snorkels are for a purpose not for looks....this aint no mall crawler yall so a fancy snorkel is biggest waste of money can buy...30.00 setup is the way to go and trust me you couldn't rip that off if you wanted to.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I don't have a snorkle, so I'm not arguing value with you.

I'm saying just at URE there are 2 or 3 places where my drivers side mirror is close to hitting a tree and that snorkle wouldn't make it through one trip w/o being damaged.

You wanna meet me out there, play follow the leader and prove me wrong?

i know nothing of what yall think I know....but I do know XJs pretty well since that's all I've wheeled for 14 years now

The snorkle ......... a vertical extension of the engine intakes elevation used to find out if your wiring/electrical and door seals are really waterproof. I think nobody wants the beast because it's gawdy and the tires are too big for it to be reliable if driven like most peeps want to use a 4x4. It does look like an awesome mallcrawler though, maybe you should park it there w a 4sale sign on it.:burnout:

I'm actually 32, been doing this roughly 14 years now with Cherokees and know everything about their stock capabilities, pros and cons, and how to make one last, work, and how to wheel one on 35s,36s,38s, and even 39.5 and not brake shit. Now people take this comment as being a know it all, but that's not it. This is just someone who knows about their favorite truck and how to use it, how not to abuse it, and how to make it work with whatever setup he's got and NOT AFRAID to test it's limits. Nobody ever wants to go bigger than 35s on XJ so long time ago I became that "idiot" to go bigger with not only the tires but the lift too and prove that these little XJs can do a whole lot more than people think as long as there's some sense behind the wheel and pedal......that's my case

test is easy dude.......go look at some XJs for sale (guick example: real nice pretty one by greencherokee) look at his comments and replies and awesomeness he gets for a XJ on 35s with 30/35 axle setup, for 5500ish......following me now whatch.... my for sale post got 147 views and nothing on this run, last run got nothing but cluttered with bashing for running 30/8.25 on 38s and Doubler is stupid and gay and all this other shit and it will fall to pieces just pulling out of driveway......have I cleared it up better. I thought it was rather funny considering mine came with warranty on motor, doubler, bigger tires, and 1000 cheaper.

that's not a test.
That's an observation.

I've found most people will buy a stock or slightly modified rig before a "built" (if yours qualifies as built) rig. my reasoning is because most "built" rigs have been wheeled and beaten. and a lot of times they may have issues that arent immediately apparent. but a stock or slightly modified rig usually arent beat as bad.
