Actually, as un-educated as I am I try harder. It does suck though when spell check can't pick a correct spelling out of what I have written.
Spell check, ... a very useful tool. It also saddens me when I read what some of our college students write on here. Barring bad grammar, but the spelling, and lack of time spent proof reading what they have written.

i agree, i've noticed the same trend on this board and others.

it's one thing to do a quick post with a misspelling or two and maybe some puncuation, but alot of it is ridiculous and far beyond a missed keystroke.

i can attest that universitys these days seem to put alot less emphasis on writing skills. i personally only had to take one class that involved any sort of instruction in that area.

i've always cared what sort of intelligence i project through my written words though. i'm sure i still make plenty of mistakes though.

It is funny, I had HS English 3 times, due to lack of interest on my part. As such, I think I spell better than most of the "educated" mooks on this board. Save for my "dyslexic" fingers mixing letters around.

If it is important enough to write about, it should be important enough to care how it is presented.

couldnt disagree more i write on here just like i would talk i didnt go to college i went to work ... if u cant read between the lines i cant help u

alot :shaking:

I agree, so many of the people here, all we know of them is by the way they write. If you portray yourself as an uneducated dumb ass, that's what people think.

And I didn't go to college either, I went into the military.

in reference to...?
The shift key is the big one at the corner of the keyboard. It's handy for making capital letters
lol, i knew someone would say something like that. it's a lazy habit i got into when i first started posting on boards. it was further integrated by the auto caps feature on ms office programs.:flipoff2:

possibly in reference to the fact that "alot" isnt a word. the context in which you used it would be "a lot," with a space. the other context is "allot" which is to to assign as a share or portion.

well i also take into account what there rigs look like and how they perform in the woods

I don't say a lot about someones rig, everyone has different budgets, and skill levels. I'd much rather see someones creation give trouble, and them know what to do about it, than someone with deep pockets and when their high dollar rig fails, they have no clue as to what to do to even limp it home.

To begin with I was only trying to educate a few that keep misspelling Callalantee. But it also brought up all the bad grammar and misspelling of other things.

I like your build, it's a pretty cool rig, outside of the lower link material LOL

hahaha this is very funny...

last night I was on another board typing away and then I re-read what I typed, I noticed I had misspelled a bunch of words.. found out last night my keyboard is missing keys when I type...

I guess it is finally time to get a new one.. even though this one has lasted me since 1994 :)

Well I mistype more than most.

But there is a difference between typo's and ignorance.

And I for one have never cared about how much intelligence I project....You either have it or you dont..

So go ahead make fun of my fat fingers...

Oh well I is stupd

But what about the other way around? Duane's post above makes him look smart.. but we all know the truth.. :flipoff2:

While we're at it. Just a refresher, according to Webster--

*There - in or at that place (opposed to here). Example: She is there now.

*Their - belonging to them. Example: This is their car.

*They're - contraction of they are.

Damn those homophones
