I got a ticket tonight for 50 in a 25 and careless and reckless because of the speed. I'm not saying that i didn't do it but trying to avoid loseing the license and the insurance hike due to the points.
I know getting a lawyer but what would be the best route to take....the only thing going for me is the officer wrote down that i had a nc plate ...... but the car is registered in florida and he never looked at the registration. Will this help any? My gauges do bounce around a little bit, do you think getting my guage cluster fixed with a reciept would help too? it doesn't help that i was in a red bmw. Let me know what you think. :poop:

Ouch...talk to Tom Speed. He has gotten a lot of people I know off on lesser charges. He would be able to advise you a little better. The registration/tag thing could come back to bite you in the ass if someone figures out the paperwork. More than likely they wont, but its a possibility.

Other option...sell me the E34. :)

I got a 70 in a 55 in my 'vette, fixed the gauges(couldn't read them) showed receipt and got improper equip, just paid court cost. Get a lawyer, it will help shit-tons. Judges like to see $$ put back into their town via lawyers.

good luck, nc court system suks

but a 50 in a 25....why did you stop? especially in a bmw? there's been plenty of 65-80's in 35 where i just hit the skinny and got away.

holy hell you are making a name for yourself.

Now even I wouldnt do this, and thats saying alot.

Are you mentally challenged or something? Thats just a terrible idea.

OMG you're right.

but in all seriousness, don't try to take care of it yourself, you'll be better with a lawyer or if you know someone who can get you off easy.

I'm curious, where was this... in Boone?

There's a road going out behind the Boone Mall (can't remember name) that is 25 mph, seems like it should be 35 at least, even 45. I got pulled once doing 43 there. Didn't even realize it. It's a long straight shot.
Turns out (at least back when I was there) tehre are a handfull of daycare centers + a care center for mentally handicapped kids on it. That's why it's 25 mph. They lowered it after a kid got ran over.
When the cop told me this I felt like a shithead.
