Stock class XJ build.

Hey all


I have been called crazy in the past but this may be one of craziest things


I picked up a xj that was built in my shop a few years back for ecors and I am trying to get it ready for KOH in one month.


First part was to make it legal for stock class which means it needs to look 100% stock.


Well as you can see in pics it was cut up so it needed a roof. So i.picked up another xj and cut the roof off it and graphed it on today.

Took about 7 hrs.

No guarantee this build will be done for race day but I am gonna try. I am going to KOH no matter what so this should be fun

Wow, where’d ya dig up the 88? Roof grafting to get an XJ stock-looking...yeah this could get crazy. I guess that would easier/cheaper than doing another cage in a stock XJ

I knew the guy that bought the 88 from the guys. Reached out to him and he was ready to sell.

What are the requirements for stock class at KOH?

They run with the EMC/4500/4800 cars?

Must be full stock body. Tires 35 or smaller. Only one shock per corner. Stock engine and tranny. Suspension must be factory style. Then add all the safety requirements.

Yes all those classes run together. Stock 4600 class starts last after the other faster classes.

Making progress

Seats are out. Rear shocks and bumps are out so I can close in rear inner fenders. Transfer case is also out.

Hell yes! I want to graft a 2 door roof onto my clapped out 4 door.

Well, that's stupid. There are a bunch of Jeepspeed cars sitting around that could run if they were rules compliant.
