pics from our tellico trip last week, we had a good time. i broke a rear d-shaft on lower 2 the second time i went up, matt pinkston (sp) broke a front d-shaft and lee bent up his front springs. otherwise i think it was just body damage. i plan to go agian later this summer if anyone wants to join. oh yea and i only got winched 2 times, once to get turned around on lower 2 so i could drive out (with just FWD, hell yea stock birfs :flipoff2: ) and once at the ledge at the top of slickrock. i beat the living shit out of the truck and nothing broke but that rear shaft. not bad considering a week and a half before we left it was ifs with nothing but duals, welded rear and right foot. anyway, here are my pics, camera died on day 3 sorry guys :driver:

to maintain my honor i got fuct up on the wall at fains ford the first time but drove right up it the 2nd time....lol. Thanks for FINALLY getting some pics up metto....now how about some video on guardrail......:)

and for anyone wondering about the pic of his dash.......look at the temp gauge............that was about 2 miles into black mountain....I should have put a stinger in his tailgate and pushed his punk ass to the top :flipoff2:

Still need to get my pictures up, good trip overall. As Metto said I bent my front springs on the ledge at the top of slickrock. That was the only time I had to use the winch for myself. Winched the shackle back forward on the springs then winched over the ledge. Swapped in a set of waggy springs the next day and all was well, broke 2 front brake lines also. The new 4 wheel drive shop down in Murphy hooked me up. (smokey Mt offroad IIRC) If you ever need anything while up at tellico I strongly reccomend these guys as they bent over backwards to help me out and where as nice as they could be while not gouging prices through the roof!
Everyones rig did very well, we all ran pretty much everything without and winching other than pinkston who was suffering clutch issues. If his clutch had been working right he would have been golden. Very suprised my stock Dana 44 shafts and Mettos stock birfs held up all week (figures since I bought a set of Chromo's right before we left should any problems arise, they are still tucked away in the toolbox) We all hammered our rigs pretty hard throughout the week, especially on lower 2 ( 4 rigs up the last main stretch of lower 2 in 7 minutes!!!!)
Yotamans formula toy did awesome especially for being finished litteraly on the trailer right before we left, he had no real problems all week.
Hardtaco just needs to realize what the gauge that says gas means :fuck-you: (ran out of gas on schoolbus)
Anyways, pictures and more updates to come later

I thought you were taking a PIC of all the dash lights being on...

We were there with NCTTORA this weekend, had a great time.

That ledge at the top of slickrock is killer. I watched approximatly 15 rigs try it and only one made it up. In my basically stock Toyota with a welded rear and 33s i put the back tires about 4 inches from the top edge of the ledge and the carburetor cut out, and back down i went. It was the highlight of my tellico trip, even though i didnt make it. I made it farther than most other rigs i saw all weekend.

Then my buddies runner on 34" ltbs walked up on its second try....simply amazing. And yeah, stock birfs can be amazing.

espescially when your swimming after your drunk ass buddy trying to make sure he dosent drown

haha, sounds like yall had fun

metty, did you travel with those little ass tires or what?

when do you plan on going next, ill try and get the heep running good enough to go to tellico

tyler

looks like it was fun. the buggy looks good.

The NCTTORA is working on a weekend trip to the Richlands and Whipoorwill. The Date is to be announced soon. I hope to the some of those toyotas there.

Who does the f-toy buggy looking rig belong to? I would like to talk to them and get some info about their cage. That is what I'm wanting to do with my rig. Thanks, RG

It's Yotaman's formula toy. It's homemade, not a Hendrix. We've got a build thread here: http://www.yotaman.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=202&start=15
It's not complete though, some board technical difficulties truncated the last couple of months, but I'll update it soon.
