Saw this on pirate and it makes sending a letter really easy for those who are to lazy to actually send a real letter to the tellico rangers. sorry its not in the land use section but i know 95% of this board doesnt realize we have a land use section so i figured it might get a few more views and responses here for a little bit before it got moved.

So everyone go here and the letter formats itself and is really easy. takes 2 minutes.....

EDIT: Saw broncomania has already posted this link in the land use section so delete it if u can mods or move them together or whatever you do...thanks

keep it here. I wouldn't have seen it otherwise as I don't frequent the land issues nearly as often as the other sections...

Well SHIT..

so I fille dout the form posted above hit send and I just got a bad address sent back to me saying can not deliver it..

has anyone esle filled it out?

got the same thing  I'm not sure what the deal is.

edit: "If you use this letter generator, you will get a NDR back from the USFS email system. The generator is correctly pointed at the address listed in the scoping memo. Apparently the FS put out their scoping letter with an incorrect, or nonexistent, or non-functional email address for sending comments. Why am I not surprised?

Dont sweat the bounce message. Each email is also being copied to the SFWDA Director of Conservation and Land Management (Heather) and when the USFS manages to get their head outa their.....email system and fix the problem, we will deliver all of the letters produced by the BRC generator."

I sent my 2 cents in. ~ thanks for finding the link!

Also, these parks generate revenue through us OHV users to come and have some good clean (or muddy) fun without impacting the environment. Rules should be clearly stated and anyone caught going off the marked pathways should be punished. Otherwise, to close down the park or not allow us to use the land just seems unfair and will ultimately send OHV enthusiasts in an alternate direction most likely wheeling in places not allowed in order to get the use out of their vehicles and the time and money put into it. This is a recreational sport, and with any outdoor recreation there will be some impact on the environment. I have not been to Tellico but maybe one day will. I know here in NC we just built one of the most technological parks on the Catawba River which is known as the White Water Center and they were getting grief from the impact they were causing, but through proper management and voting from the consensus it was made possible and is making great headway just as planned.

So in closing, please do not close our parks and force people who are trying to keep the environment safe from erosion and not illegally driving on private property stay that way. Thank you for taking the time to view this.

I got this back:

great idea. for a long time i never viewed the land use section. now i like reading up on it. :driver:

they don't fail. SFWDA and BRC keep them letters and make sure they get to their final destination. Trust me. I posted this in Land Use but I wanted others to see it too.

I'm not sure everyone knows or not so I'll throw this out there....

If you want to write more than one idea down on one letter try and seperate them if you can. Maybe your idea might be the cost of rehabilitation of Slickrock and the overall costs of maintaining trout stocking in the Tellico River. Instead of putting them in one letter, split it into 2 letters. Make each letter about one point or idea.

Under NEPA, the FS is required to read every letter and file them. They put them into 2 categories, substantial and unsubstantial. If you have a good point/idea then it will go in the "Substantial" pile. If it's a support letter then it goes in the other pile. We need everyone to continue to write letters so that they have a large bank of ideas to pull from and a large support base.

Thanks for everything thus far. We've got a long way to go.
