The 2nd annual get together 9/18/21

I had a 3 out 4 chance to make this and was feeling pretty good about it when poles closed. But I understand the circumstances and gonna miss it this year unfortunately . Great times were had by everyone last year. Great foods, great folks and so many laughs! Will be looking forward to the pics and stories!

Yeah...worst weekend for me too...but short of the wife telling me she wants to go somewhere for our anniversary, we’ll probably make a day trip again with the kids. This go round we’ll have a less than 2 month old as well, so we’ll see what that variable does scheduling.

That's awesome man! Who's the dad?

I feel ya. Our will just be about a month old.... Might just be me and munchkin.

I cried for three days over a dog once. He truly was my best friend. I can understand the hurt. I'm down for giving to animals. It's funny how I'll treat my dogs better than my kids.

*kid falls down and scrapes leg...screaming ensues*
Me - "walk it off"

*dogs rough house and one starts limping*
Me - we need to call the vet ASAP! Also, let's get the dog couch moved over here so she can lay down and be comfortable. *dog moves one inch* no, no, baby. Take it easy and rest. Here let me go get you a treat you big lard ass. I love you.
Update on fatty. She has a torn ligament and now her ass is going to Knoxville to see a specialist. She's also 13 lbs overweight....

did dumb ass daisy run into a glass door?
We don't know. I was in the shower, everybody else was downstairs, big floof was outside and came in yelping and hobbling around. She's outdone herself on this one.

Oh and to be stick with the theme.... no she won't be attending the meet & greet 2.

This year has been a little tough for one of our own. I'm 100% with you on dogs, they're family; however, one of my really good friends (and yours and one who is instrumental in putting these events together for us all) found out his son was diagnosed with autism and it's been a bit of a tough pill to swallow for he and his family.

Unless another need arises between now and then for somebody directly in need, I'd like to propose we donate to a charity of his choosing to go towards autism.

Again any good cause is just for me. count me in

Munchkin was just diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. Jury is still out on autism. I 100% donating to that cause.

I'll just ask that the area around the yellow Winnebago remain mini-bike free. Looks like Renee is going to be the one walking around on a new knee joint come September. @cranbiz , bring the bottle just in case.

I'm in for the weekend and t-shirts... Might just being the furry kids and hang out in camp this time...

I have plenty of friends and family that support both of the proposed causes. So, in for either one...

I'm on-call that weekend, but if it looks like calm one I'll show-up!
Also in for donation(s).

Missed this last year and plan to attend this time around! Got it on my calendar, will see if my youngest wants to tag along (well, he's 29 but no wheels), fix the tent, new tires for the trailer, etc.

If I can find a decent new-to-me truck by then might let son drive YJ and I bring new ride - meaning could drag the pit down if that's of interest. Think smokey oven... ;-)

DAMNIT
just learned the season kickoff for our robotics program in Sept 18th, every year we have a big all day shindig out of it.
This is gonna be a tough call.

Maybe I can moderate a 4 hr meeting of two dozen teenagers from 700 miles away

A good scout troop can run itself with no leaders. I assume the same is true of a good robotics program. ;)

These are teenagers that build and program robots. How much overlap do you think there is with Scouts, esecially in the leadership domain?
