The end of an era (A thread no one asked for)

I like the quote that life comes in seasons. I never burned the trails up every weekend but I did my fair share with friends. That was a good season for me. I'm gonna hang onto mine for a while longer. You never know, my kid may want to get wild one day.

This new season is interesting. I'm feeling older and looking it. I'm actually picking up some glasses as I type this. Eyes are going, hair's about thinned out, and I play a lot of golf. Maybe I'll start working on my lawn next 🤣 i might even start yelling at the neighborhood kids.

You will regret selling it for sure haha. But it is fun to move onto new projects. My older son did end up driving my 96ZJ for a few years still have that one! I sold my old cj7 to @Paul and he literally destroyed it! LOL who bought your jeep on here?

@jeepinmatt

You should upgrade to a Toyota and relish on the dark side.

On a side note, I miss my 350 powered commando and the bitchin TJ that @superpile got. In the end, it’s just stuff and family and life outweigh any rig. No regerts and keep moving forward.

That said… I’ll never part with my current Toyota pile. If I did my son will hate me forever.
It’s true it has a new lease on life. I have overhauled it back to a new Frankenstein life of nonsense.

How's you weiner these days?

Boooo

Well, after a frustrating series of events, I still have the jeep. It’s for sale, and driving the best it has in 15+ years. Somebody come and buy it before I change my mind. All it needs to drive pretty darn good is a pair of rear shocks. Also the right front axle seal leaks. Otherwise it’s ready to run down the road at 55 or wheel all day.

Hate that it didn't work out. To be honest, when I read your first post, the thought that immediately popped into my head was "don't jinx yourself by saying it's sold until the money is in your hand."
Me too. I almost didn’t post the post. But said F it I’m bored at work.

I’ll start the bidding at $2.00 USD

Is that a stock tire carrier with a 37" on it??
Yep, its had a lot of sizes on it... stock 215, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 35, 38, 38.5, 36, 38, 37 in roughly that order :D Not only that, but it has a 2" spacer slash 5x4.5 to 8x6.5 adapter holding it on there too. Believe it or not, the door still opens and closes smoothly, latches properly, and doesn't squeak very much.

Somebody come give me $13k for this thing (or a really close reasonable offer or a really good trade) so I can move on with my life. I have a set of beadlocks to go with it for some extra $$$ that will fit the 37's that are on it, or something else in the 17" variety.
