It’s true it has a new lease on life. I have overhauled it back to a new Frankenstein life of nonsense.@jeepinmatt
You should upgrade to a Toyota and relish on the dark side.
On a side note, I miss my 350 powered commando and the bitchin TJ that @superpile got. In the end, it’s just stuff and family and life outweigh any rig. No regerts and keep moving forward.
That said… I’ll never part with my current Toyota pile. If I did my son will hate me forever.
Speak for yourself. My daughter got her license yesterday and had the choice of several older Mercedes she declined and took the 5spd YJ. She would've been even happier if it was a square body Chevy.Pipe dreams for us old guys. I wouldn’t have wanted my dad’s old jeep at that age. Plus it doesn’t drive great, so it would be a terrible choice for a first car.
Since this is now a thread about vehicles we've gotten rid of.. @BIGWOODY How's my dads old Model A?Speak for yourself. My daughter got her license yesterday and had the choice of several older Mercedes she declined and took the 5spd YJ. She would've been even happier if it was a square body Chevy.
This was her maiden solo voyage.View attachment 439388
How's you weiner these days?I like the quote that life comes in seasons. I never burned the trails up every weekend but I did my fair share with friends. That was a good season for me. I'm gonna hang onto mine for a while longer. You never know, my kid may want to get wild one day.
This new season is interesting. I'm feeling older and looking it. I'm actually picking up some glasses as I type this. Eyes are going, hair's about thinned out, and I play a lot of golf. Maybe I'll start working on my lawn nexti might even start yelling at the neighborhood kids.
Still rockin' out. How's you weiner these days?
It's my FIL's daily ,around town driver. Driven almost every day.Since this is now a thread about vehicles we've gotten rid of.. @BIGWOODY How's my dads old Model A?

Me too. I almost didn’t post the post. But said F it I’m bored at work.Hate that it didn't work out. To be honest, when I read your first post, the thought that immediately popped into my head was "don't jinx yourself by saying it's sold until the money is in your hand."
this is the Universe telling you somethingWell, after a frustrating series of events, I still have the jeep. It’s for sale, and driving the best it has in 15+ years. Somebody come and buy it before I change my mind. All it needs to drive pretty darn good is a pair of rear shocks. Also the right front axle seal leaks. Otherwise it’s ready to run down the road at 55 or wheel all day.
