"The Flats" Marion area help...for 4/25/15 we're coming OMG!!

We Made it home safely guys. The Truck somehow fixed itself for the ride home (Glory and Thanks to God) cause a mechanic shop down there couldn't figure it out with his big scanner software for almost 2hours but sunday morning was running great and all the way home did 60 on the highway no problem and pulled the Boone Mountain at 45 so thank you to all for your kindness and hellos and we all had a great great great time down there. My wife had a blast, she did really well and She personally wanted to thank everyone and bless everyone she met/encountered for their kindness and friendliness. She was very pleased at how such a friendly/comfortable environment it was and how secure/safe she felt being around everyone. I look forward to being able to make more trips in the future. Thank you and hope everyone had a safe weekend wheeling and safe trip home!! God Bless Everyone and Your Families and Rigs!! Shalom.

well by the end of the trip i did quite a lot and more than i expected (easy street did not look Easy at all LOL and watching others did not feel safe at all for me). i REALLY REALLY ENJOYED the heck out of Laurel Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and the Exit of easy street. #13 and #6 yellow were also a lot of fun. i followed a xj on 37s and TJ on 35s from Wilmington area last night by myself and i did the exit of Easy Street (i think anyways) it was hard...he really beat it coming out so i asked if i could and if not, could they winch me up so i did...crawling speed didn't work so third attempt i just said screw it...make it or brake it and go home so i floored it and to my surprise and (theirs too), D35 held up and these tires dig really good with rpms on them so I MADE IT>>>>HOLY SHIT!!! i actually got scared for few minutes bouncing around, sliding back and forth into a tree and over stumps bouncing it but pulled it right up WOT. So this gave me some confidence with my setup so i went and gave it hell on Jimmy and Laurel and ended up doing one of the reds (don't know which one) but it was same vacinity as jimmy and laurel and that scared me and the guy riding with me cause we slid around on that side to side bouncing around like a toy car bangin our heads, smacking banks and trees and again...held it to the floor and made it. i learned from this trip these tires are awesome, my axles can take a bigger beating than i would've ever thought possible (without rocks of course) and i learned that the "Red" type trails were really cool but i think i will stick to yellows in the future...maybe MILD reds cause i admit the one red i did scared me since i've never ever drove like that up anything bouncing and sliding side to side so it was new for me but too much for my style i guess. glad to know i could do it but nah, i will stay on yellows and greens next time.

We had a good time too. John, it was nice to meet you and your family. The drizzle stopped around 10am and we were rain-free the rest of the day!

John it was great meeting you. We were at the exit of sloppy joe when I met you and you did it after I went down and almost rolled. Not the top of easy street. I'm the guy with the ugly cherokee on 37's from wilmington. Didn't get any pics of you but one of my friends might have. I can't wait to get back up there.

hey thank you so much for letting me ride and having fun and building some confidence in me. you and your friend really made my day (and my trip) when you showed me what my XJ was capable of. I would've never ever done that just out of fear of breaking but you have shown me a different side of jeep cherokee capability and i think as long as i stay off rocks, my jeep will treat me well as it did there. sorry to get confused on where we were but thank you for clearing that up for me so now others know and i too so i can go back there maybe next trip when i can make it to film it this time. had a great time with you guys and glad you all made it home safe and well (that's a long trip for you).

Does anyone have any wheeling pics of the infamous @John Fuller ?
sorry dude..my wife didn't get anything good cause i didn't do anything hard while she was there (she gets scared when she's around) but sat night she let me go back for couple hours alone and that's when i did several yellows, the exit of sloppy joe and one of the reds around Jimmy/laurel. trust me i wish more than anything i had videos for my own benefit and friends and yes...you guys too lol but nobody was around. I thought a couple times to ask some guys to tape me but i admit, i was kinda shy this time to approach people and didn't want to bother them or seem to bother and let people have their fun. I hope the more i go the more comfortable i get to open up little by little and hang with some people while riding/taping some good stuff but for sure staying away from any RED next time cause little too much for my style of comfort i guess..(i'm a wuss i guess LOL). hope to meet you next time.

i was very thankful that we didn't get the rain storms that were predicted. i did notice a BIG BIG difference from Friday when we arrived and rode around to saturday riding around...WOW even the greens were quite more difficult for what they are but it was more fun sat on the greens and yellows. i hope to come out on a dry day one trip to maybe try a harder yellow and maybe a red again but maybe with not so much throttle (maybe dry would allow better crawling grip??) either way rain was no worries and was very thankful for the weather we had.

BTW anyone get a video of the "suburban" that jumped the steep hill in parking area really high and landed pretty bad from what i heard and broke the rear maybe???i heard it was pretty wild stunt.

https://instagram.com/p/16W6EIRq4c/ clip I found on Instagram.
https://instagram.com/p/19EpW2mrVV/ this too, maybe someone here.
i was there with the XJ guy when he jumped it...took him a while to work up to it and finally hit hit hard enough. saw that in person and it was awesome. some crazy guys out there for sure. it would be nice to have beaters to beat on. i hope my interior somehow magically gets messed up one of these days where i can then rip it all out and start doing some stuff to it. till then, gotta keep it clean for the wife lol
