The Garden Thread

Had a little grass and such popping up. Put the cultivator/hiller on and made a pass per row….no more weeds 😍

Got some plastic trellis mesh coming from Amazon for the beans and other climbers. Cheap and strong.

Going to cool off this weekend. We’ve had good rain last couple of weeks and the heat/sun which has been great for the plants.

I want to find bulk soaker hose to make a better watering system. Our well is great with no capacity issues but I don’t like waste.

Help! How do I combat squash bugs destroying my zucchini plants!?
I use an outdoor plant spray with Imidacloprid. Don’t get it on any blooms, just the leaves.

The blue bottle is what I was referring to. For fast knockdown mix the blue as directed and add the red (with bifenthren) as directed per gallon. The Imidacloprid is long lasting and systemic but works slower.

Thank you! I was using needle nose pliers & throwing them in soapy water so they could return to hell where they belong. That worked ok when it was only a couple of them. Suddenly, they multiplied & took over 😳

I know you have to look underneath the leaves and scrape off the eggs every once in a while
