I liked it a lot until just now...
What makes it so heavy??? That's as heavy as a typical 1 ton.

I'm guessing massively stiff and stout frame, and a lot of cast iron engine-related parts. The words "weight reduction" and lightweight" aren't in Cummins vocabulary, because those things add incremental cost.
That's roughly the same weight as my 2015 Colorado flat-towing my Subaru, both with empty gas tanks.
But, what happens when a 7k pound pickup with seriously front-biased weight distribution needs to do something like.... ...turn?
