I would second this... Of course it is coming from someone who cannot stick to the plan.
 
Well IDK what the rear is like but I'd be interested in see some pictures. Sometimes you have to throw what you want to do out and start over..... I know what I want to do but $$$ are in the way right now. On a side note which HF garage did you get? 10' x 17'?

yeah the 10x17 its on sale for 180.00 i think i payed like 160.00 for it with a 25% coupon maybe.

the more i think about it and we looked at it yesterday. if i end up cutting the back end off to redo the rear and rear tube work which im going to do, im probably going to look at making a sub-frame and moving the front axle in some and reworking the rear some to give it a better overall wheelbase.
 
What wheelbase do you want it to be? I remember a thread I read on Pirate a few years or more ago where the majority of people thought the ideal WB for a typical buggy with 39-42" tires was 114" with a 20" belly.

Right now it’s at 126” I’d like to get somewhere between 112-120”

Negative. I’ve got some family stuff that needs to be taken care of and selling it could help. Most likely will be selling my truck as well. I’ve been back and forth for 4-6 months about selling it or keep. I think right now this is my best option.
Hopefully in a year I’ll be able to throw down on a turn key rig

Nothing wrong with putting those priorities in line! I stepped away from wheeling for about 3 years to take care of some things (get debt free) and that short sacrifice has been very worth it!

I doubt you will, but I’ll say it anyway. Don’t be one of those people that take a break from something like this and let life get in the way and never get back to it. I know a few guys that “took a break” from whatever it was they liked, and they had a kid, bought a house, life happened blah blah blah and they never got back to it. They all seem pretty unhappy if you dig past the surface a little.

I’m pretty sure Jody wouldn’t let you do that though...

It’s two fold doing this will also help me get out of some debt. But my dads health is going down hill fast, and he has some legal things that are suppose to be fulfilled by an uncle February of next year. I’m afraid he will try to get out of paying what is owned to my dad and try to take take a house that was left to me and my sister if my dad does pass. Basically I’m getting the biggest pile of cash I can just Incase I need to get a lawyer fast.

But I’ll be back wheeling my own rig as soon as I can possibly afford it, my girlfriend has already said when everybody calms back down she will help any way she can to get us another rig.

She knew things were getting pretty serious when I said I was gonna sell
The buggy project and the boat if I had to.
I’ve basically hunted, fished, or wheeled every possible weekend since we started dating 5 years ago
