The Red Rocket

4" YJ lift springs... not sure of the brand. I put some RuffStuff differential covers on the front and rear... they are beef! The front D30 cover uses a .5" ring, with .375" plate. Hopefully that cover along with the truss, I can mitigate the most ring gear deflection possible. Nobody currently makes a carrier bearing preloading differential cover for a D30, so that was my best option for overall housing strength.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I let the previous owner eat most of the cost of "building" the jeep by buying it locked, geared, and with a nice set of tires/wheels, but have done a decent bit of work on top of that to keep things from breaking. It's simple, but it works so far.

Here are some of Ricky B's pictures from DPG, hope you guys enjoy:

Jeep worked great, only small issue was a sheared rear leaf spring center pin that happened at the end of the day. Thanks to Adam and Robbie, we towed it back to my house (pretty close to DPG), and it was no worries. Got it fixed with some grade 8 material.

So this is proof that ol Brandon wheels lol! Jeep is lookin good man!

Some SUA flex action :flipoff2:

A little update: the jeep has been working great, although I had to replace the bearing at the bottom of my steering column due to an intermediate steering shaft that would NOT move in the slightest bit (seized). I've gotten everything repaired, including the intermediate shaft, and now it's back in full business attire.

Hows that CarterFab?
If this is a comment about my wheels, let it be known that I didn't actively pursue the purchase of them independently of the vehicle.... unlike a certain someone

Sweet pictures jeffro, thanks for posting them up man.

Went to URE today, enjoy the pics.

Teaser.... some new and cool things should be in within the next month :huggy:

I say screw 24s I want to see some 13x10 gold Daytons with some 175/70/13 white walls on it:flipoff2:
I might actually be one of the few who like the Kmc wheels, It's different.

Atlas is in... I would post pictures but have no method for it readily :(

Oh well, you guys get the idea. It's a 4.3 Atlas. Next to get installed are some Longfield 300M joints I got for the front axle, as well as some corbeaus.

I'm working on making a platform for the seats to mount on right now.
I've added in a harness bar to the cage to mount my 5 points after I mount my seats:

Here is the 4.3 Atlas when it arrived at my house:

Here it is, in the jeep. I closed in the open section under the case there. Had to come down about .5", but it will be no big deal in the rocks. Besides, it's very temporary, as I have the materials to do a full skid. It was kind of a pain fitting the case in there, as it was much bigger than the 231. I did have to trim my floorboard a little for the shifters, but nothing too serious.

By the way, I took it for a quick spin in the woods and the 76:1 is a HUGE improvement over the 48:1 I previously had. I need to get these 300M u-joints installed so I won't be popping them with all this new torque

Finally got these seats mounted, after a long time of mocking up and figuring out how to make the seat frames. I'm pretty satisfied with how everything turned out though.

Atlas, Longfield 300M joints, seats and harnesses are in. Also reworked how the spare rode. It'll probably stay like this and get wheeled on for a while!

Punctured a brake line and toasted a motor mount bushing at URE this past weekend. All in all though I was happy with how everything worked from the maiden voyage with the atlas and everything more dialed in. Maybe jeffro will post up some pics from the trip.

Finally getting some dern pitchers up:

Got some new brake lines from Alliance Hose & Tube in Greensboro - shouldn't have anymore issues with that. Also got another motor mount in.
