i am moving to charleston sc next week and i dont have room to take the buggy. not to mention other people have used it more in the past 6 weeks then i have. think i will get a boat for down here so my friends can come and play on weekend. so i think i am going to sell the buggy. but i really dont know what a fair price is. every one has seen pics of it here and on pirate. quick run down of parts are

ask anyone who has gone with me and they will tell you this buggy is point and drive. i have been very impressed with the way it runs and wheels. whats a fair price to ask?

Part it out.. :D

I didn't know that has 4.10's.. did you drive around with the front case in low most of the time? (Not that I can blame ya, I'm running 4.10's too)

yup, I have to give credit were it is due.. that Beast worked very well at Tellico with us a few weeks back...

I am curious to see what price you ask for it??

Stone,..................Man!.............. You will regret the day you sell it, trust me! Many a ride I have had in the past, I wish I still had! It's not that far away. You can still get up here on some weekends to wheel! Keep it, or better yet, don't move!

chip, moving is not an option at this point. the opportunity is way to good to pass up. the biggest reason for selling it is the little amount of use i am getting. if i wheel it only 3 times a year is it worth it? the new apt i have in charleston doesnt have any garages which means i have to find storage here in charlotte. the best thing is its all aid for and doesnt eat much if you are not driving it. i may end up keeping it and seeing how much i will actualy use it. if i sold it i was thinking like 10-11k

your price range to sell it is fair and id sell.... I went throght the same thoughts when i eventually decided to part my zuke buggy. At least now with the 1ton jeep its sturdy yet its still very drivable (drove 30miles to the 4x4show wit the gf doing 55 on 38s/H1s..) Ya its not as awsome off road but ive adjusted my goals as far as what i wanted out of it... 'some' drivability was factored in... Hate to see ya sell it as its a kick ass rig but definitly understand your position...

Sell it, I've sold more shit that I probably shoulda kept and the pain stops.
65 mustang conv., 70 challenger 440, 67 mustang GT, 3 different 240z's two of which were ex imsa cars, 69 Z28, 88M3, numerous Mercedes and BMWs...Heck I'll sell anything , it's all got it's price, my wife even looks nervous when someone comes to the house with cash now...lol Get your price and move on there's plenty more.

reid, i got a home for it if you want. i get to play with it every once in a while though :flipoff2:

id say about $15k to answer your original question. that seems to be the median for buggy prices on pirate. maybe less considering your chasis was used in comps before you got it.

i dunno really, i mean ive thought of selling mine, and the going rate for buggy's and well built rigs is way less than you would think, full comp buggys with atlas's and 4.3's with dynatracs have been seen going for 5-9K and thats alot of nice equipment... If you can't get what youd want for it, id keep it... Hell a storage unit would cost less than you think, to keep it dry and clean, then use it when you want... Keeping it costs very little compared to the loss you'd take selling it...

Just my .02

15k? you could come close to building a new one for that much if you budgeted well.

I'd say less because of the drivetrain.. yeah, it's light, small, blah blah... but 22RE's just don't hold much in the way of "oooohh, aaaah".. There's also the welded front diff.. again, not the best for resale.

Maybe around $10k is what I would look to pay.

Not knockin the buggy, I've heard it works well and there's some cool stuff on it for sure, but that's just my $.02

to be honest i would buy another one for 9k if it had dynatracs, atlas, and 4.3. i havent seen anything like that cheap. i would be have 2 of them but at least my dad could always go when i did.

i guess the ohh ahhh factory didnt matter to me much. i am not one to think hp is what you need in a crawler, i am a gear reduction crawler type. but the axles being welded does keep the cost lower. but with out regearing there is no need for a locker because of the carrier diffrences in the diffs.

i am going to kee it until some one brings me 10k. i am not advertising it but if i someone offered that i would deliver it. in the mean time i think i am going to just let it slee here at the apt until my lease is up in october. in the mean time i am leavin today for charleston for good. maybe in 3 or 4 months when i buy aboat it will be time to get active in selling it. thanks for all the input
