First Yager,then Kevin then Xenia,and now me .
I have been feeling under the weather sunday night and monday . Sometime during the day when I woke up could not recall the time I could not move my right side .
I went to the Doc today and they seem to think I have had a TIA .

So thursday I go for a ct scan and a sonogram of my juglar .
 
TIA it turns out is pretty common, and many times we've had one and never knew or recognized it. ( I'd never heard of it before, so I was pretty surprised by this)

BTW, TIA = Transient Iscemic Attack or "Mini Stroke" can happen anywhere in your head, and may or may not be detected or detectable.

That you are/were a smoker makes you likely to have one (or a full on stroke) I don't know how many times I was asked if I smoke. It was usually one of the first 3 questions.

Warren, don't be surprised if they come back with " we don't know" CT scan will see a "large" mass or pool, but something less visible could be missed, is why my Dr's wanted an MRI. but those are stupid expensive ( if you have insurance, they have to request IN DETAIL why they want an MRI )

I've been put on the aspirin regimen as well, which is something my Dr's have harped on for awhile, I just never did. (guilty)

and even if your cholesterol level is good ( mine is fine, low even ) they may still put you on a "statin' type cholesterol drug to keep the deposits from forming. fortunately the stuff they prescribed me was cheap, like $4 for the generic ( not at WalMart)

They say my MRI showed nothing, I wouldn't know, I've never seen results from one

Damn, I hate to hear this Warren. If there's anything I can do just let me know. I should be able to after tomorrow, Xenia's coming home if all goes well.
Take it easy and I pray things work out.
 
Any chance everyone involved has natural gas?
 
Like Kevin said I was a smoker and that might be one of the main causes of my TIA but my family health history does not look good either . We are supposed to get all the info together and find out what happened and go from there.
 
If we could run our rigs on Natural gas I'm opening a Mexican restaurant at the outpost.
