Time to get this mess over, who's had the shot?

Wife and I just got our first doses yesterday. My arm is sore as all get out and I'm about as tired as I've ever been and I had chills all last night.... wife on the other hand has had zero symptoms.

Got #2 this morning, hoping for no adverse side effects šŸ¤ž

Charleigh saw your avatar and asked 'what did the candy lady text you?' I told her you got the covid vaccine and might not be feeling well tomorrow. 'Awww, tell her I'll pray the Easter Bunny brings her extra candy so she feels better'.

Awwww I love her and appreciate the prayers! Joe actually got me some Swedish fish this morning šŸ„° Hopefully the Easter bunny brings her lots of goodies too!

The gf got the single shot last Friday. Saturday she was tired as hell all day even with caffeine. Then late afternoon got chills, then hot, and had a small temperature. Sunday morning woke up feeling normal though.

Wife and I have had both shots. We were a little fatigued after the second round. Other than I now want to lift my left leg when walking by a tree we are fine and feel better that we now have a better level of protection

So I ā€œcavedā€ I havenā€™t planned on getting the shot based on what I posted above I just could t justify it. Well, I have the chance to do some training in Europe this summer including possibly jumping into Holland for the 77th Market Garden Anniversary. Prerequisite: full vax.
Fuck it.
First shot was this past Thursday. Itā€™s like nothing happened.
Second shot is 23 April

My boss headed to Baltimore today, his father in law had a stroke after the 2nd shot. Not saying they are related but...

I got the moderna vaccine in early January. I was considered group 1b in my county. I had no adverse effects other than a sore arm and being a little tired the next day after both. My wife just got her second phizer shot and it has been similar for her.

I got the 1 shot J&J last week. Got it around 3pm. Injection site burned for about 2 min and then no other effects from then until I went to sleep. The next morning I woke up feeling a bit more like fried ass than normal. Mostly fatigue, aches, chills, heat flashes - I am very lucky that I work from the house still, so I was able to just lay down and rest a couple of times. It was 99% gone about 24 hrs after the shot. I had 1 more mild wave of feeling hot for no reason that evening, and not the greatest nights sleep, and then the next day my arm felt a little sore. My wife experienced much of the same with her side effects lasting a little bit longer. Brother in law had similar waves of fatigue after his 2nd shot of the moderna.

If that's a taste of what the virus has in store, I'm glad I got the shot and not the real deal. Not being able to breathe on top of how that made me feel - no thanks.

Thatā€™s not the half of it. Gyms on post have been segregated to un-vax/vax, chow hall is open to serve at 50% for dine in with vax card, certain training opportunities are vax only. Itā€™s ridiculous. My only motivation is my grandfather jumped into Normandy and Holland and if, before I retire I could jump Iā€™ll take whatever chance I have to to follow in those footsteps.
