if you had weight distribution hitch then I would say take it slow and you would make it.. but with out a hitch the rear of your truck may be sagging a bunch
 
Rent a 2500HD from Home Depot for the short trip you need?
 
As long as you are aware and considerate of what you are doing, you will be fine. We pulled a 98 32' bumper pull with 1 slideout about 40 miles with my dads F150 Supercrew. It did just fine, but all of the time was spent on secondary roads (No interstate). It was about a 7700lb camper.
 
Worst problem is

1) half ton brakes
2) other idiot drivers you can't predict

Be sure you have a brake controller and the trailer brakes are working.

Also watch loading on your rear tires...if they aren't "E" you may be pushing wt. capacity with 15% TW.
