If comparing stock vs. stock, Toyota > Jeep definitely...
However, otherwise they are both about equal in my mind, since I would have to add a V8 and 1-tons to either one. :driver:

even then the Toyota would be better due to the frame.

Nothing really wrong with YJ/TJ boxed frames though. At least not that I am aware of...

i agree 100%... I was just going by the vehicles the OP had mentioned.

My buddy and i put a 35" BFG MT on a stock yota......
 
After spending thousands of dollars on my rig, Im happy w/ it and pretty confident it can hold its own with most rigs around here, however, Ive seen yotas spending half what Ive spent that get it!Granted they are'nt show trucks but they also have less breakage and money in it.Yotas just come from the factory w/ stronger drivetrains. If I had to start again, Id get a yota......that hurt me a little to say.
 
Carolinatruggies BUILDS some kick ass jeeps, but alex knows as he stated WTF. in those years the YOTA hands down. other year comparisions is a different story
