Truck Night in America

No one could rock side burns and a mullet like him, and he seemed like an awesome dude. So sad to hear about this.
 
I read they had finished prerunning and were just having fun in the dunes outside of town in San Felipe. His daughter was going to drive and he was going to co drive for her in the race.

A different sxs, possibly can-am left town on the highway at high speed, entered the dunes and t boned Pete in the drive door. Both Pete and the other driver were expired.

There was talk of a pic floating around of the wreck, but can’t find it. I assume it was removed after the news went public.

A Tragedy.

That could be the case. History Channel has reached out to us asking us not to post about how the crash occurred. Supposedly there has been some bad information put out. But I really only know what has come across social media.
 
I would hope the pic has been removed, and if it’s graphic and found I can’t be alone in hoping no one would post it here.

If something like that happened to me I wouldn’t want everyone seeing me like that. I’d want them to remeber me smiling, not mangled up and dead.

This has nothing to do with Pete....but why suppress information or NOT get the truth out ASAP when someone dies?!?!
Eventually it comes out, so why let a rumor mill start?!?
 
For as involved as he was in entertainment from desert racing to tv shows...kinda weird how hard you gotta dig to find ANY info. If you just google ‘pistol pete’ there are about 3 pages of topics before you even get to him, up to and including an underwear brand name ‘pistol pete’. Still don’t get much even if you google ‘pistol Pete sohren dead’.

I did see a picture earlier. I was scrolling through comments and someone was on scene and had posted a picture. Not sure who was on the stretcher, couldnt see face, but they were doing CPR beside of a warped rzr.

Wasnt graphic, but definitely sad.

I don't think it was that we shouldn't talk about the fact he was in a crash, it's that there have been several different stories about how it happened.

That's exactly what I mean. Again...not specifically Pete, but I see so many deaths where the family wants to suppress HOW it happened, only for it to eventually get out. Be it a crash, suicide, cancer...etc

I think you missed what I was saying. One story said it was head on. One said Pete got T boned. Another said he T boned them. The most reliable source I have heard from said it was head on, but there has not been any official release about who hit who how. Don't think they are trying to hide anything just to stop misinformation.

You guys dont want pictures on here, but the photos show a t bone type accident. Not head on.

Edit..not sure what itll hurt to add pics of utvs. Delete if needed.
I dont know who was driving either vehicle.

The UTVs don't look that badly damaged. I've seen videos of them doing cartwheels with parts flying and the drivers walk away. Must have been a freak accident with just the right force. Sucks for all, praying for the families.

No. I got it. But apparently we cant think outside of just Pete, so wont even attempt

I wonder if they plan any changes to the upcoming season. I saw an advertisement on IG this am for the new season so I assume they'll air it as-is
