What stands out sooo much about what I just saw in that townhall, he has no problem saying I might be wrong but this is how I feel. Hell he admitted oh I've only biked this much so I'm sorry that number is more off. They just seem like good people

The biggest thing I think some ppl are forgetting about her time as Secretary is that she had to quite because she had a physical/nervous breakdown. Of course who wouldn't after being responsible for Benghazi.

But if she can't handle the stress of Secretary then she can't handle being POTUS.

I partially agree that CEO doesn't directly relate but atleast he has made ppl balance a budget.
Well, to be fair, she was having issues w/ blood clotting and a minor stroke. That's not so much an issue w/ not being able to handle stress or psychological problem as much as a physical ailment that had to be treated.
Now, whether it's a good idea to have a president that is physical frail is a different question -but we've had our share of physically questionable leaders already

He does seem like kinda a stoner lol

Lol he admitted to smoking only a couple months ago on a VICE interview... Let me see if I can find the video...

Here it is....

Well I had read he used medical marijuana after a paragliding accident. Another thing I just thought about, it seemed to me he impressed Anderson Cooper and they were just BSing towards the end. I'm not trying to sound bias, it just seemed like they were honest dudes just trying to give the people what they wanted.

I didn't see the CNN interview (no cable) but everything I have seen he's just about as honest as you can get as a politician. The fact that he owns up to smoking and his faults is a bonus to me. I can't stand arrogant asshats who even when they are wrong can't admit it.... Own that shit! Learn from it....

After watching that last night it seems like GJ has his shit together more than the other two. That's not really saying much though.

I'm still impressed with Welds level of intelligence. Dude seems like hes a fucking a legit genius lol.

I lived in Massachusetts during the beginning years of Weld's terms as governor (I actually went to school with Paul Cellucci's daughters) and he always seemed very intelligent and a solid free thinking guy. I'm somewhat surprised to see him pop up again on a Libertarian ticket though....

I was honestly apprehensive and a nervous about how this was gonna go. And they have my vote .

What makes you say that lol

So just throwing this out there because I find it interesting...but if this thread/poll is any indication of the voting model, when given the option, it appears the Libertarian party strips far more republican votes than it does/will democrat votes. Given it seems we had very very very few Clinton supporters to begin with, but the Trump/Johnson numbers are basically split in this scenario. I think historical elections and other social experiments will show, with a 3 party platform...the dems will damn near win by default. So, do you still vote in good conscience, or do you vote to win???

My guess is because everyone has already said their $.02 in one of the other 12 political/presidential threads and realize this thread/poll is just the same as the others but with a new title...

Got it...12 is ok...but 13 is too much. No bakers dozen.

.

Wallace and Nader are 2 examples of the Dems splitting their party, so it's not just the Repubs that have the curse of the third party.

And you mentioned that this thread/poll is an indication of the voting model, but I do believe that is incorrect sir, because this thread (or Forum for that matter) FAR from represents how the American population feels. If I'd did then we wouldn't have had a second term for BHO.

It would be interesting to see how a poll like this would do on a more liberal site.
Anybody a member of a Prius forum?

'IF it was an indication' was the operative phrase. But valid point. Your comment still illustrates the point I poorly made...whatever side the 3rd party leans, will be a default win for the other side. If Bernie went independent...Trump would be a shoe in. If GJ gets on the ticket (who was a repub for a decade), I think it'll split right.

I agree with your scenario, but if Trump wins, that is not a "win" for me or, in my opinion, the principles this country is founded upon. Therefore the options are lose with Clinton, lose with Trump, or at least break even with Johnson. I don't agree with him 100% (according to isidewith.com its more like 85%), heck I don't even think he's the best libertarian option, but its the best option that has a chance.

I see what you're saying, but I disagree.
Here is why I disagree

The majority of the people I know are voting for Trump, but I personally know more Dems that are voting GJ than I do Repubs. So that tells me (out of my social polling) GJ is splitting the Blue vote over the Red. Now the people that I know HARDLY represents the American population. But it's the data that I have to go on. But I do know some Rebs that are voting GJ too.
And I will say that the majority of the people that I know who are voting for Trump are only doing so out of their hatred for Clinton.

I agreed with him on 91% according to that site. The only candidate I agreed more with was Rand Paul. I believe that was at 94%.

I'm right there with you. I just get cold feet for the idea of split and knowing what the outcome is.

I'll buy that...I still think a 3rd party has to lean one way or another, and the majority of their support will come from whatever party it is they lean though.

That's the mind boggling thing for me. We had a process that got us to this point. There were better candidates...how dafuq did this happen if everyone is all outraged now.

I think some people don't take the elections serious. I know fucktards who laugh and say "I'm voting for Trump because it'll be funny if he's our president" or they say they like the idea of kicking out Mexicans and banning Muslims. But we all know that he can't constitutionally do.
There are a bunch of idiots in this country and our elections prove it every 4 years.

Guy, most of the larger-scale national polling suggest that Johnson is fairly evenly splitting the would-be Dem and Republicans. Which is somewhat unusual. Typically a Libertarian candidate would be expected to steal more of the Repub side, but (1) he's not a typical Libertarian and (2) a lot of Dems really hate Clinton.

As mentioned this place (NC4x4) is nowhere near a balanced representation of the country. You don't see many Dems voicing up here their support for Johnson b/c there are very few Dems on the board in general.

Stein (green party) on the other hand is stealing almost exclusively from the Dem side.

Sadly this does not seem to be true...

I think the reason Clinton and Trump are both in is because of this excact scenario. They were both percieved to be the best chance to get thier side elected. And it's amazing how many people think that way.
