showers at Canebreak?

Anybody know what the hours for the Outpost are for this event weekend? Kinda curious as to that since its the only gas / drinks / food/ cigarettes/ trail passes immeditely close by. Seems to me that it would be in their best interest to keep extended hours. Just a suggestion to mention it to them or at least post their hours since we're just across the street and all...

There is also the Mountain Markety, just a few miles south on 109. One of the owners is a member here and interested in drumming up business.
Aparently they also sell passes, food, supplies... everything you get at the Outpost. Just a smaller parking lot.

The one thing that the race comm needs to think about next year Volunteers should be treated better than anyone...Drinks, food and free camping....Without Vol, It would be hard to to even have a race.....Just a thought. Also far as one T-Shirt. That will be sweated out and dirty as hell after one day.

(tow rigs,tents,rv's,haulers,...there is over 90 racers signed up so far+ a few vendors) I now support this decision. However this now leaves me with no place to offer the vols., to camp. I regret to say that vols. are on their own, as far as camping goes. As i have no contingency plan for vols. I know,...that sucks, and I may be ripped apart by several of you, but I have no way to change things now. Hopefully a free festival pass and t-shirt is enough pay for the vols. this year. Next year will be different.

That seems to be more "than just a few"
I dunno, but we do need a information spot at Arrowhead now, otherwise 95% of that campground will have to drive all the way,yes all the way to the stables.......on those dusty ass bumpy roads it is a long way just for information.
And once again, who was able to reserve group camp from under American wheeler????????

I guess those of us who planned ahead and got a site at Arrowhead when the race was first announced will be punished by the people who will be looking for a place to

"chit, shower, & shave"

I'm volunteering to help AW. I ain't asking you for anything except a little respect, unless you're incharge of the festival camping. Then all I want is a place to get cleaned up after sweating my ass off & buring gas for free all day! I figured if I was paying for a place to camp & some where to get cleaned up. that is usually what I am paing for when I get a camp site.

And we greatly appreciate your assistance,

Buuut, I mean, they're doing what they can, shit almost hit the fan big if there was no where to camp, at least that was averted, sorry there aren't gonna be showers but I don't know what you expect us to do, we can't magically poof showers out of nowhere . . . . .

I understand your frustration and I too would be upset. I wish I could offer everyone better accommodations, but the best I can do is give you a free place to pitch a tent/camper....
hell I will be happy with a garden hose to clean with and a big tree to....
our intentions is not to piss people off.
I'm not pissed just confused...
We are only trying to step up and offer a free place to stay so people at least don't have to stress out about where they will be sleeping.
I'm not stressing just trying to do some preplanning...

thanks for the heads up!

(forest gump voice) where's the magic showers Jenny?:bounce:
I'll do what I can to help. I understand there are gonna be hick-ups.this is the firs annual event. like I said earlier. I'm not pissed. :lol:I just want to make sure people don't run away from me when I walk up all smelling like sweaty dusty asscakes.:poop:

I think we will have a good time even if we smell like we have been sleeping with thirty dirty whores!

I just got off the phone w/ Dylan. he said they are doing all they can do to get people in the group camp. unfortunatlly there is a lot of red tape to cut thru when you work with the US Government. he assured me that they are on this like there pants are on fire and there asses are catching...

BaDog...I went a head and got a place at Baldwin lake site 003. Come by there and you can use the shower or Shitter. Look for the copper tone "trunner" truck/4runner with exo in sig. So far I only have 2 other people at my site....It says I can have a max of 8 people...but only 2 vehicles, if someone don't mind finding a place to park. They can stay at the site for good food, 5th of Southern Comfort, or 5 bucks a night.....lol. Staying Thur-Sun.

I'm in site 31 and 33 Badin Lake also. So far I have a total of 5 people but I'm not sure how many vehicles. If I have extra, I'd be glad to share (and I'm right beside the showers) :fuck-you:

So am I except in lower loop

sher & liftnaleg

You guys rock!
I was expecting to get blasted for whining and crying!.....I probably still will... lol
Thanks for the invatations!!!!! I just might take ya'll up on the shower!
and Ya'll can come to my camp and have a beer:beer:

every one should thank you because I won't be smelling like ass on Friday, saturday & sunday!

Thanks again!

wow just wow...

I keep forgetting this is the FIRST annual event. there are going to be bugs in the machine so to speak... I hope things go good so the second annual eveny will be even better.

Fawk it, got me one too. #032 Tr~Sun

I honestly think all of the racer and volunterees will get along and not have to worry about
sweaty dusty asscakes
it'll all be good.

It'll work out.
Thanks Sean and dylan.

1) thats funny right there 'sweaty dusty asscakes'
2) yes, thanks to all for making this happen. its been a ton of work and you should all be proud.

I'll be at Uwharrie pretty early in the week. I was planning on camping at the top of Kodak off to the right where it flattens out. Will I still be able to camp there during the race? I know that access to that area will be very limited during race times and that's fine with me since I'll be spectating all weekend and I don't plan on going anywhere during race times.

sorry for sounding like an ass hat... old WW habbits are hard to break....
I'll try harder next time!

I will be around either race camp or near the starting line...I will be making rounds in the xj if you see me, holler!
Do you have a white XJ with a American Wheeler decal across the windshield? I think I had seen you the last time I was at URE.

Are their any hook ups for water and/or electricity for the RV sites at Ure stables?

I don't care, it is the 2 women that are coming with me that will.
