dylan showed me and ricky the mud pit and rock garden... the mud pit is literally a big pond thats been drained with 10ish foot slopes down to the pond... the rock garden is down a hill right next to the mud pit and from the looks of it its gonna be sick they are right in front of the stables... i would say the pond is a little bigger than a football field... iirc

^^^ YEP..

OPEN CRAWL...Friday and Saturday

No Limit Offroad Rock Crawl Competition Starts @ 9:OO am Sunday (C and D class rigs only)

I thought d class runs start sunday morning at 9am.. what's going on?

If you go to "event schedule" on the website, it only brings you to a few maps. This event is only 2-1/2 weeks away, if I need to take friday off work, I need to plan ahead.

That reminds me. Did anyone Contact Carolina Rock Runners? They would probably do an RC crawling exhibition Comp. Those are usually a big hit with the crowds.

Your class will be running on Sat.

We sat down tonight and discussed the schedule. I will start yet another new thread that will be the final word and should answer most of the questions.

I understand a new thread but i thought rock crawl was saturday night. Now the race finals and rock crawl are the same time

Not all race finals will be on the same day..ie; fast 5 of c and d class run last thing on Sat.

Fast five of a and b compete on Sunday.....I know its kinda complicated, but thats how it all fits in the time frame. There will be alot of events that are going on at the same time such as racing and mud comp or racing and rock comp....trust me this works!

Do you get the idea that there we be a bunch of folks running around Uwharrie for three days, confused as a bunch of new born babes in a titty bar?

Uwharrie Stables input

Hey guys. Jackie here from Uwharrie Stables. We are so excited about having you all out here in a few weeks. The Rock Garden and Mud Hole will remain after the event and open to the public to play on. We are also considering adding a few more things for our 4 wheelin friends. I will keep you guys posted as things develop. You could drop me some ideas of things you would like to see added and we can see where it takes us.

Well since the Pond is around, here is a thought. You create a "concrete valley" between the rock pile and the pond.

Fill said valley at intervals with boulders/rocks.

Then, buy/run a large water pump from the pond area to top of valley thus creating a man made river to "crawl" your way thru.

The more waterfalls, shelfs, etc there are, the better. Basically simulating a river crawl which are a blast but make the eco folks very unhappy! Since all the water is recycled right back into the pond....not an issue!

Concrete is the $$ part here, but depends on how much water you have avail to you / how much you would 'lose' per hour etc if simply running back down a "muddy / no concrete" version of this said valley.

Another version of this...when that rock pile is wet it will take it up quite a few notches. In theory run the water pipe up to top/one side of it and let it run down thru...to the valley, etc.
