13 hours in the driver’s seat is the finishing pace of an Ultra4 car over the last 5 years at V2R.

We are going to try and beat that.

For entertainment purposes only, I am documenting as much as I can the behind the scenes of what it takes to put on a race campaign for an event like this. All the successes, failures, speed bumps, planning, prep, stress, anxiety, and fun! I’m hoping to put out 7 to 8 vlogs in the lead up to the event.

By the way, if you have any interest in being part of the madness, we could use the help! Matt with MojoRacing (on NC4x4) is driving Chase Truck 1, but basically all positions are available!

Well there will certainly be a whole lot of I’m clueless moments. But hopefully my KOH and Mint400 experience will help.

A few critical pieces would be: car prepped, car shipped out, fueling strategy, car returned home. If we can figure those out, the rest is icing on the cake :).

Who won the race? I've been to that part of Mexico before :D
 
FYI I just saw your ad on Facebook, and when I click on it, it just brings up the Messenger window. So if that's supposed to be fixed, its not.

I assume the youtube link works, I was just pretending to be an average FB dumbass and clicking on the picture. And now I can't find the ad to try again, haha. Maybe if I click my heels together and say hairgel 3 times it will show up.

I actually had no idea how it would turn out, the cayenne turbo is like 4.5 second 0-60 and the 4410 really walked away. Probably had 4 or 5 runs.

Crazy to move that much mass with that much wind resistance that quick.

I'm sure the Cayenne had a good 1500lbs or more on the 4410 also. Glad to hear a good ol American V8 beat the Frankfurter! :usa:

Actually, the cayenne weighs around 4800lbs and the 4410 may be closer to 5500lbs. But I have 300 more hp.

Hmm, cayenne is about 500lb lighter than I expected, and that 4410 is a lot heavier than I expected :eek:

Kind of all over the calendar. But the Desert stuff happens August 9th-13th. It’s headed to CT Raceworx next week for some prep and parts installs, then when I get it back it could probably use another walk around to see what I’m forgetting. Also I’ll need help on tool selection and fluid selection/placement on the car.
 
Episode 3 finished. Long journey to V2R, but hopefully I can get a 5-10 min video up each week with some content!

Seriously though, I may be up for helping out race week. Classes don’t start until 3rd week of August, so should work out with dates. :)
