What a gorgeous weekend it was to wheel but lets not forget what this event was all about. It was an oppurtunity to say thank you to those who have served us in the armed forces. As a former Marine even I, on occasion, take for granted the sacrifice that our young men and women are making every day. Some people in this country may have the the attitude that that is the "job" our military brothers and sisters have chosen so thats on them. That is very true. They did choose the job and for many different reasons. Many chose to serve in the armed forces because they felt a patriotic duty, some thought that it looked cool in the movies, some just did not have a job and thought that it was a good way to support themselves. No matter the reasons for joining, they chose that job with the understanding that if ordered to do so, they would put their lives at risk. In many places around the world they are doing just that at this very moment. The men and women serving today in places like Iraq and Afganistan are at risk of losing there lives every minute they are there. There is a stress involved with that that even I cannot fathom. They are making a sacrifice for us even if they never really thought they would have to fulfill that promise they made when they joined. To them, I say a very heartfelt thank you. To those who have served in the past, I say a very heartfelt thank you. Let's all try to save a little space in our hearts for our friends, family members, and the people we will never know who have served and are serving at this very moment.

Couldn't say it better Brad.
Here is a picture of the crew that has served or is still serving.

I was absolutely blown away by how many attended the ride this weekend. I cant say enough how much it meant to the veterans there to see so much support for them. There was some great riding, made some new freinds and had the best time at ure i have ever had.

The whole event came together great, and to all of those that helped me out THANK YOU!! Let me tell ya, if ya ever ask jeff and john( big juggy bros) to bring wood, you get a whole truck load!! Terry and belinda, yall were so helpfull in more ways than you know. Debra, josh price,Joe jones,Chris Ellis,Tonya Ellis, you guys helped me out so much!

Ssgt Zerbe,s memorial build was there and got too hit the trails for the first time since the major parts of the build were finished and led a trail ride on saturday! Big props to Greg slade and his whole crew for doing an outstanding job. These guys worked till midnight on thursday to make sure the jeep was there!

This event will definetly be held again next year, plans are allready in the works!:usa:

One more thank you, goes out too NC4x4, without the forum , shawn and cydney, this probably would have never happend. Just getting the word out to everyone made all the differnce. Thank you guys!!

I wish I could have stayed for more than a few minutes looks like yall had some fun!

Jason - A truck load of fire wood is the least we can do for the Vets...they put their life on the line for us.

This was a great event, glad we were able to be a part of it. Had a good time, probably the best time I've ever had at Uwharrie. Met some new folks and had some great trial riding...well except for this afternoon when I spit out both drive shafts on Kodack rock. Big thanks to Paul for draggin my butt back to the trailer.

This definately needs to be an annual event...good times.

Thanks again.

AWESOME WEEKEND!
Had a great time on the trails and around the camp fire
Jason, you and your crew provided us Vets a weekend to remember
Thanks

Mick

Well even though I got there about lunch time on saturday(had trailer problems) we got to ride some and then meet back at camp to finally put some names to faces off of here. I thought it was a great time and wanted to say thanks again its because of people like you guys putting things on for vets such as myself thats makes us feel proud in the job we have!

Oh and Terry it was well worth the wait for that awesome hot dog!!lol!

Thanks for a great weekend guys. I just finished the video. https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=2670261601023. I hope you can see it. I don't have a lot of footage of most of you but there's some good stuff on there, like Kyle's rollover recovery and other stupid stuff that some of you guys missed.

Jason, you could not have ordered a better day for the ride! Everybody pitched in and helped a great cause, glad to be part of this and thanks for including us. Looking forward already to next year! Thanks for doing this.
