*Warning* Shameless plug for donations ahead.....

In October of this year I will be walking 60 miles in 3 Days to raise money for breast cancer research. I did this in 2001, so I know I can do it although it will take a lot of personal time to train for the event.

In signing up, I have agreed to raise a minimum of $2,200 in donations. You may make a donation online at www.the3day.org/atlanta07/ssitze or you may mail donations to me at the same address you send money for NC4X4.com stickers.

As many of you know, Rob (NC4X4 owner, & my husband) lost his first wife to breast cancer when she was only 34. For those of you that have met Carey & Logan, they were only 9 & 6 when they lost their mother. This happens to too many families.

I know there are a lot of worthy causes out there, but this is one close to our family, and I bet if you think about it, every one of you know someone who has or has had breast cancer, or has lost a loved one to it.

If you would like more information on the event itself, go to www.the3day.org

NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!

Thank you for what you are doing. I lost my mom and aunt when I was 17. Both to Cancer within a month of each other. Which city are you going to do it in? I would love to one of those out there to support but they look to be a good ways away from here.

Good for you.

I was diagnosed wit hT-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (cancer) last Sept and been in remission awhile now, ONE MORE CHEMO TREATMENT!!!!!! YAY!

You guys are great! I'm already at $190 just since 5pm today! Thanks to all who have donated so far!

Shane - yeah, I'll be on the heavy ass treadmill until it's a lot warmer outside!

family xj - it has hit way too many families! I will be walking in Atlanta in October.

ZachMan - glad to hear you're in remission!

awesome job on a good cause, thanks! having lost a grandmother to breast cancer that came back 10 years after a mastectomy, it is a personal thing. not to mention other family members to other forms.

my personal deed for cancer this year will be donating my hair for the production of wigs. i haven't decided which organization to go with though. i had been leaning torwards locks for love, but have recently heard/read some bad press on them.

i've still got another 2-3 months of growing to meet the length requirements for most of them anyway.

My son is growing his out for locks of love too. He tried it 2 years ago and got really frustrated and cut it off. Now he is in private school and the hair can'r touch the ear so he is fighting the school to allow it. He is only 10 by the way. He gets called a girl all the time too and just disregards it now.

I really appreciate it Susan...

My family has had a few cases of Breast cancer, so if i Can help in any way feel free to let me know..

Bump for Susan, so far she's raised $345 towards her goal of $2200. Thanks guys

Good Luck Susan. Pilar is growing her hair out now for the Locks of Love people as well.

Glad CRS could chip in and help you out with this worthy cause.

Rob - $445 as of when we donated.

Andy

Very proud of you Susan. It will be the hardest 3 days of your year...and likely the most rewarding.

Rob, you going as part of the support team?

Galen, she did this in 2001, so no worries on her being able to do it again. On me going? Depends on work, family, etc, but I'm supporting her training, which takes a lot of time.

Bump, more donations to help our goal, $1 or $5, no amount too small.
