I'm well over the big IPA fad, but you're right. That Elm Street English style IPA is damn good! A much better balance of hops and malts.

Just because you can throw more hops in a beer doesn't make it better. It makes it unbalanced. And ya, it's a fad. It's bubble will burst.

Same goes for these goofy recipes where someone takes a perfectly good Stout and adds a bunch of stupid ingredients like peanut butter and jelly. You want a FAWKIN sammich, go make a sammich.

I'll take a nice malty ale with a balanced hop flavor over fashionable beers any day.

No I think it was Nebraska for some reason. Both Green Man and Hi-Wire had it as a guest tap this winter. I'll post it if I can find it.
