What happened to Male/Female?

I work in advertising (thus my screen name). Part of my job is writing and fielding surveys.

The gender question used to be the easiest one to write:

Gender?
__ Male
__ Female

Then I saw this in a recent survey and learned this verbiage is now considered "best practice" in surveys:

To which gender identity do you most identify?
__ Male
__ Female
__ Transgender Female
__ Transgender Male
__ Gender variant/non-conforming
__ Not listed; (please specify)
__ Prefer not to answer

Ahh yes, the same political side that says nothing matters except scientific facts says that science is wrong and there are more than just male and female.

They don't seem to understand that I don't care what you want to be called or what you want to be....do what you want to do, but, if you were born a dude...well, you're a dude. Shapiro didn't even raise his voice, but that man-lady sure was fast to put his hands on him and threaten him. Even saying transgender male/female means that they're saying there are only two genders...male and female.

I'm no extreme Bible thumper, but come on...this is getting a little out of hand.

I went to high school with a guy that is now a guy with a cooter. He had the surgery (in canada, maybe it's cheaper there? It was funny the first day he came 'out' on FB I saw the picture and name and thought, dang, I didn't know he had a sister, also didn't know I was friends with here on FB but she looks JUST like him. Then later that day he posted that he was born with a small weenie and decided to dress up like a girl. Few months later he went full out and had the weiner chopped off...

I would have had a major problem w the threat,Im at the point in life that I'm not gonna take much threatening.I might take a beatin and spend some time in the hospital but I'm gonna see what ya got.

Not taking sides, but explain chicks born with willies, & all the deformities. Six toes, Siamese Twins, two sets of teeth, or who knows what. Animals have More things, like 2 heads. It seems like it IS up to the chromosome mix, as to what you turn out to be.
 
There are some abnormalities, but hermaphrodites make up something like .05% of the population.

As far as I'm concerned - THEY are allowed to choose whichever gender they feel the most comfortable with.

But for perfectly normal, biologically speaking, males and females to believe and undergo sex 'reassignment' surgery - well. They have a mental disorder and are performing genital mutilation.

There is a LOT of people coming forward who have gone through this, had the surgery, and came out the other end in a better state of mind with permanent disfigurement afterwards.

Society failed them, it said - You are who you say you are, we accept you. When it should have said, "It's cool, we all got issues - let's go through this together and get you some help."

But when you have parents telling CHILDREN, six, seven, eight years old that they can be whatever they want to be - That is child abuse and causing irreparable harm to their developing psyche.

The HYPOCRISY of the left on this, is... well - it's pretty par for course.
 
I heard something a while back about how these liberals want to use science to explain "climate change" but when you start asking about chromosomes and sexes all of sudden it's subject to interpretation. This is why I normally don't even engage in these type of discussions on facebook or IRL. It's not worth the hassle and as big of an asshole as I am, I still don't care enough to try and piss you off on my time. it's almost as bad as those people that are ashamed because they were born white. there are some serious mental instabilities you're having to navigate around.

That's a really valid point. You can't call people science deniers one minute, and say be whatever you feel you are the next.

I support people being whatever they want to be, but I support consistency and facts more.
