What have you done to your rig today?

Got rid of the wierd tire noise and wheel hop. New hub bearings and 2023 work truck takeoffs with about 10k on Bridgestones for $350. Much better looking than the 3 spokes

Finished mounting the engine mounts, transmission mount and installed Tcase. Did some good clean up and also bolted flexplate to Torque Converter.

All in about 2-3 hrs this morning.

Taking 2-3 hrs each morning this week to get some progress done.

Hopes and dreams call for wiring the engine up and putting everything in looms. Get accessories bolted up on engine and reinstall grill and Radiator. Driveshafts, shifter linkages, intake and fuel delivery…

We’ll see how far it actually get.

Only got a couple days before I’m down there needing a ride to the port lol

At that point why not get a factory harness with flying 6” leads and use the solder style connectors to tie into new wire? At least you know there’s not a bad crimp in that scenario
I'd thought about going that route, I redid the lift pump harness for my 6.5 using the AirDog relay, fuse holder, and about 6 inches of the original harness and soldered new runs of wires.
I really wanted to try my hand at pinning my own relays; never hurts to have an additional skill, plus it's less splices in a single run of wire.
It'll be the factory wiring leading to the trigger pin on the relay, 18 gauge I believe, but the power to the relay and power to the headlights will be larger wires; 12 or 14 gauge

Well, with not much else to do…

Got the garage cleaned up and organized. Cleaned the Tcase shift linkage of years of grit and grime, started stripping the old 258. Got the, accessories off, bottom end stripped, ready to pull head and pistons.

Anyone need any random 258 parts? Aside from crank and rods. 😁
