Got rid of the wierd tire noise and wheel hop. New hub bearings and 2023 work truck takeoffs with about 10k on Bridgestones for $350. Much better looking than the 3 spokes
Only got a couple days before I’m down there needing a ride to the port lolFinished mounting the engine mounts, transmission mount and installed Tcase. Did some good clean up and also bolted flexplate to Torque Converter.
All in about 2-3 hrs this morning.
Taking 2-3 hrs each morning this week to get some progress done.
Hopes and dreams call for wiring the engine up and putting everything in looms. Get accessories bolted up on engine and reinstall grill and Radiator. Driveshafts, shifter linkages, intake and fuel delivery…
We’ll see how far it actually get.
Oh I see, wait ‘till the heavy lifting is done and swing on down. ‘preciate that!Only got a couple days before I’m down there needing a ride to the port lol
I'd thought about going that route, I redid the lift pump harness for my 6.5 using the AirDog relay, fuse holder, and about 6 inches of the original harness and soldered new runs of wires. At that point why not get a factory harness with flying 6” leads and use the solder style connectors to tie into new wire? At least you know there’s not a bad crimp in that scenario
I was thinking exactly this on my way to hawk pride with a rear pinion bearing that went out around Cherokee, and was spraying gear lube all over flopping around. "How many damn s10s and rangers are running around with the factory gear lube in it from 1999 with no issues, and here mine goes out 'randomly' ". LolCrazy how it's people like this that never have an ounce of trouble but others that do their maintenance by the book have tons of problems.
Yes, it is crazy like that. My luck is crazy like that too. Not good not bad just mine. Not my rig, it's an older contractor friend of mines truck but I changed his oil and did some other maintenance and front brakes. He's terrible about keeping up with his maintenance on both his trucks. This is his work truck, 99 Dodge 2500 with the v10. Coincidentally I changed the oil on this exact day 3 years ago at 382k miles and it has almost 413k on it today. Says a lot about the durability to survive that long with the lack of maintenance this truck gets.
His 06 f350 power stroke I just serviced last week hadn't had an oil change in about 40k miles and he's never done either of the fuel filters before I just did them.
Crazy how it's people like this that never have an ounce of trouble but others that do their maintenance by the book have tons of problems.

So you gonna wrap it like monster or beer can?
is that an actual fuel tank or did you repurpose it from something else?
Gas tank custom spec for vertical use by “bad ass manufacturing”is that an actual fuel tank or did you repurpose it from something else?
