Powersteering filter number 2 blew out, so I'll listen to the truck and scrap that project. I started to tear into the airbumps and nicked a shaft which then messed up a seal head, so now waiting on parts to fix that.

Just about ready to drop the transmission and i realized something didn't seem right.
Oops! It's not the problem! Just glad I figured that out before the trans was on the floor.
Problem is ... no clue as to what is wrong!!!
Something in the pedal/pedal box assembly. Which is probably gonna be a way worse job .................
I swear ... with my age and medical issues ... if someone with a decent mileage 10-15 year old 3 series Beamer knocked on my door ....
Took some time to clean up the headlights for the K2500, I think I've been running these housings since 2019 or 2020; and between use on both trucks they're definitely showing some age
5000 grit 3M sandpaper, some Majestic Solutions Scratch and Swirl remover, and ample elbow grease makes a world of difference!
Should have had it in by now but decided to swap my 20 yr old trash shocks with some newerish looking trash shocks off the parts jeep. Broke a bolt off end end up pulling the tank for better access. All my bits gave some, some gave all. Now ive got a captured nut with no threads and the nastiest gas tank ive seen.
Got the fairlead offset and holes for winch mount, installed a Barnes skid repair kit to bolt toe points to fit flat tow, added an exhaust auger that’s supposed to decrease 6-7db and packed it with stainless scrubbers as suggested on a vette forum, now at 60db iat idle 70 on a cold start
Hitch mocked up goes all the way to crossmember right behind the axle, needs fish plates made and welded, tow bar fit checked, mocked up exhaust for a secondary muffler to exit driver side, tight 90 and a 20” turbo muffler ordered, hoping to be tolerable at 2400 rpm which will be 65mph with current gearing/ tires
Got the passenger side fender cut and installed a grill hoop. Not sure how I feel about it. From the front it looks good but the side profile is trash. Also when you gotta straighten a bend but all you have is an excavator.
Took it for a test drive after adjusting the bumps and moving the shocks around, rides nice. I may just swap the valving f/r when I rebuild them this winter. The stiffer shocks in the front feel so much better! It's a few years old, but this radial dynamics reservoir rules. So nice to bleed the steering just enough to get it to steer, and then drive it around for a bit and let it do the rest.
Well,
I finally have the pedal box rebuilt and back in. It's amazing how poorly this went. But all things considered ....
It's amazing the difference frame of mind and such and physical and neurological issues can change you life.
I can't remember how many times I had to either just stop and stare at it to figure something I should know out or just stop and walk of for a half hour!
Worse thing is ... I figured out I still need to drop the transmission to fix what cause the pedal box issue.
