What have you done to your......

I have a tool shed, mostly just a building with some/most of my tools and such in it. It does have a work bench, if I ever get it cleared off and find it again.

I have too much time on my ass, an a lot of it is watching You Tube. I seen a guy, then another, and well, I liked what they were doing with their cordless tools.
What I had, and I didn't get a pic of the before, but here is what I have done over the last four days. Yeah, I know, shouldn't have taken so long, but... I can only be on my feet so long, so more breaks than work most of the time for me. Chilly mornings, and cold doesn't do well for my hands. ( they took arteries out of my arms to fix my heart 12 years ago, so, that took the heaters out of my hands, actually, it's my fingers) I did fix that somewhat, by putting an electric heater on my bench, so I could warm my hands.
Anyway, this is what I came up with. This after cleaning the floor space out, throwing a lot of stuff out the doors, and finding the floor, then, I took the cobbled up mess that was there apart, and started building. The lumber was given to me, the plywood, was given to me, I invested in the Torx Screws, BTW, I have a bunch of phillips, but doubt I will ever buy another screw other that the Torx type. They are the shit! The top most part on the left side, above my welder, is removable, so I can get to breaker box. The cover is off right now, because I will soon be running power to the "making Chicken salad out of chicken shit building (see that thread if you don't get it) So here's a few pics

Total cost was $20 for the power strip, and $9 for the Torx screws

I need to do a lot of organizing and cleaning up after this next run of projects I can’t get done right now. Need to create some long term axle storage, material rack, and organize my crap a whole lot more. Definitely need to pick up some more lights.

If you were up this way, Rural King has the 5500 lumen lights on sale for $18 and some change.

Yeah I figured I’ll need 4 more to complete the garage. Gonna be weird making them work with the overhead lights with my Jeep in the middle of the garage.

two step ladders, and some good boards, and a light weight friend, you can make it happen.
Oh and if you think you need 4 more, better plan on 6 or 8 more. What you plan is usually not enough lol

Horrible Freight has them for $19.--, when on sale. They even have a double bulb, but it double the price. That 5000, is Bright! I tried one in the basement/shop. Just bought another, to put in the attic, just in case i have to go there!

I stacked some more junk on top of other junk in mine today. And tomorrow I will move some junk to get to some other junk. In the spring I will re-arrange my junk so I can get my lawnmower in and out, in which case I have to move junk each time I mow.
I would like to build a storage platform above my garage door to put even more junk. It’s just wasted space and I have super tall ceilings. I could get so much junk up there above the door, then have room to put new junk in the areas that I would un-junk.

I hate junk. It’s all my wife’s junk.

yucky rainy day, so I spent it out in my building. A heater to keep it warm, even pulled off my hoodie for a while! LOL
Not been pleased with my air tool storage. Only a 1/4 of them in a cheap Crapsman box, it didn't slide very well. The rest were in an old soft dink crate.
So, watching video's, I did this. Very happy with how it turned out. First hole I used a jig saw, not enough control, and made it too big. After that I drilled two holes, one bigger, to allow the quick connect to go in, above the first ring, and the second small enough so it won't pull through. Used a hacksaw to connect the outer edge of the larger hole, to the inner edge of the smaller hole. Used a round file to clean it up, and fine tune each hole.

Here's the first one I made

I didn't have to make them so long, so I changed the 2nd ne up a little bit. Made it much easier to cut and fit

I also straighten up my screw drivers a bit. I had made this several years ago.

I am sure many of you noticed this.

I like yours, very nice!
Was wondering, I saw those made from metal. I went back and forth with metal vs PVC. I was afraid that the metal could wear into or scratch the quick connect fitting over time and use, and cause them to leak. Have you seen any issues with that?

No issues so far. I did deburr the edges. If one does get messed up they are cheap to replace.

@upnover ...French cleats are extremely easy to build with or without a table saw. Take a 5" wide board and rip it in half at a 45 degree angle. You now have a french cleat. One side of the 45 faces up on the wall and the other is mounted down on whatever you want to hang. If you have a skilsaw, you can build them.

may have to try it one day

Got this made up over the weekend. 1/2" birch plywood. 10degree top for the batteries. It will eventually be mounted on a big french cleat system

I really like that. I hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to do my best to copy that right down to the French cleat mount.

@tlucier go right ahead! I've copied mine and added some different dimensions to fit what I have. Each drill slot is spaced 5" apart(center of drill to center). I can get you the exact measurements if you want. The battery tray has a 10 degree angle on the uprights for it(cut on a miter saw). Has enough room behind the drills to hold stuff I don't normally use or loose stuff(odd drill bits etc.) Put it together with brad nails and wood glue. I'm pretty sure I built it out of a single sheet of 2'x4' birch plywood 1/2. About $18 or so at Lowes.

@YJJPWrangler - I don’t want you to go out of your way, but I’d definitely appreciate any help (dimensions) you can send my way! Thanks for the offer!

@tlucier
Here are the dimensions.

Bottom box measures 24" wide, 12" deep, 9" tall. Top box is 23" wide. Back support measures 5" and then is cut at 10 degrees to the front.(same depth as bottom box)

Tool cutouts are 5" center to center
