My youngest daughter and her husband took a CCW class with her in-laws over the weekend.
Monday she called to make an appointment to their license ...... AUGUST 3RD !!!

I actually just went through the renewal process and I had to schedule mine way out. It was really weird actually, I had like a 2:30pm appt. Got there around 2:15-2:20, walked in perfectly expecting to have to wait until my scheduled appt time....NOPE! Walked right up, had my paperwork filled out already so just had to sign and was out of there by 2:25pm.
What got me was I got a call last night from The Man himself, Mr. Richie Simmons (Davidson County Sherriff), around 7:30pm to personally thank me for participating in the program and tell me my permit was ready for pickup. I chatted with him for about 5 minutes and he was over-the-top enthusiastic about the program (thus why he personally calls the permit holders). Seemed like we sing from the same hymnal on quite a few things.
So how many or what percentage of you CCW? I plan on getting mine (GF thinks I'm crazy) but I'm just curious, coming from a state the don't give out any carry permits. Up north they make it sound like everyone carries here but I have only seen 1 person and that was in Charlotte.

That means the rest of us did our job carry concealed! If done correctly you will not know who is. I carry every day and have concealed in both my personal and business truck that stay there.

Exactly. I don't have any guns and I don't carry any guns. That would be dangerous. But if shit goes down, I'm gonna do everything within my power and rights to control the situation and eliminate the threat.

probably a whole hell of alot more than you think. there are 9 of us in the office 7 carry, 4 being women. and 17 out of 20 guys in the field carry and one of the guys that doesnt isnt old enough to do so legally, and the others smell like a bar all the time.
It's safe to assume most everyone born and raised down here carry.

Hell i carried while going to western, i add to register it with the college and they took a copy of my DL and CC and thats all i had to do. IDK if you can still do that now, but that was 4 years ago.

Cooper's evil/liberal twin "Blackface" Nort-ham and cronies just pushed ours from a "watch video, take & pass test, and turn in your paperwork" affair to the same "in person training" scheme as NC.
That puts me in conflict... it's another notch out of the "shall not be infringed" pole, but having seen some of the single-digit IQ knuckle-draggers (male & female alike) totin' around here, may be for the better?
