I like Ballistic as well as other west coast companies bracketry, I just hate spending money on shipping and more importantly dumping a ton of loot somewhere away from our area.
Just for example, If you were up and running right now, I need to buy all of this stuff.
H1 Stiffeners for 5 wheels.
DIY beadlock kit for 16.5 wheels
2 pair of adj upper link brackets at frame
2 pair of lower link brackets for frame
1 14 bolt truss kit ( DIY kit, I weld it)
1 60 front truss kit ( " )
8 - Tabs for axle tube for lower links
8 - flat bottom tabs for upper links
8 - shock tabs for toob
8 - shock tabs for axle tube ( Fronts could be also inner "C" stiffeners)
All that stuff is just stuff I know I am going to need within the next 6 months. I was planning on just making all the brackets and trusses here by hand, but that easts up SOOOOO much time. If I could buy it all local, and it all be the same ( close tolerancing), Then I'd buy it just for the amount of time I would save, and I could have the Jeep all linked up twice as fast. If I made it all, It'd take me a week to make all the brackets by hand and at least two drill bits for all the damn holes in everything.
just as Rich and awspence say, thats the worst part of making brackets. Even if you just punched them all to 1/2" that saves me a ton of time having to step up w/ bits to get the holes in the right places, and try not to dull a bit. Or have an option to specify hole size if different. That way you just punch everything to 1/2" to keep them stocked, and if someone knows they need everything 3/4" or 9/16, then just specify that when ordering, and there ya go.
I'd also rather spend money in out local economy, than somewhere else. Another reason I would buy them from you, vs. make them all.
Why would I make everything, If I can just go buy them all in Greenville, w/o paying shipping, and have them today. And I could keep money in our area. BRILLIANT
