Whos gonna win the 500

Watching it again, he lets go, grabs it for a sec, and lets go again and braces for impact. I guess that is pretty smart

well thats interesting !!

Juan Pablo hit one of the Jet Drier trucks on a yellow lap, both are burning

This 500 is the biggest freaking disaster I've ever seen. I bet they'll call the race here...that had to wreck that track. If that happens, Dave Blaney wins hahaha

Not only is the track probably damaged but that safety barrier is definitely compromised, Im that foam isnt really designed to be subject to direct flame from jet fuel.

the heat and fuel have dissolved the track surface, race is over, they'll have to repave that section to get it right

they just showed like a close up of it, there is clearly metal pieces melted in to the track. Good luck getting that out any time soon.

The track has to be soft there now. Unless the asphalt has some extreme temperature resistance, I will be surprised if it goes back green.

What tha hell? I just turned on the TV @ 10:00 and I see a blown up, wrecked Jet Dry truck being picked up by 2 fork lifts? DW says thats the most unreal thing I have ever seen.... I still dont know what happened but Juan Pablo Montoya is involved some how.

sure wish they would have shown the track guys dumping the truck off the forks that was smooth

Pablo was trying to catch pack during yellow, as he passed the dryer truck something broke in his car, and he hit it.

Saw this and had to share.

So.much.oil.dry! It doesn't look like they will be able to finish though. Unless they use a lot of bondo like they did on the pot hole:rolleyes:

It only takes about 600-800 degrees to "soften" or compromise structural integrity of most steel. Im sure that just cold rolled structural steel. So its probably junk.

OK WTF. I mean I get the interest and "big $$" in NASCAR, but continuing to run this and air it so long that the local news is completely cancelled, just so you can maybe run on a track everybody's going to say is compromised anyway is just fucking ridiculous.

I mean seriously, how else am I going to find out how many people were shot and/or raped in Baltimore today?

(do wish I'd seen the fireball though!)
