Not sure I would wanna hit that patch at 200 MPH
I tried that. It is only spanish... All other channels are english except that one...hit the SAP button on the remote, or TV menu
and a Sam's Club pallette of TideMajor props to NASCAR and SWM here...when you think about planning FOR EVERYTHING they were prepred to repair the fawking racing surface...I'm in awe.
They had $20,000 worth of fast patch and quick react set on site.....
One day....
But think about that for a minute Sam's club was closed and the narest wal mart is 15 miles away (im going off memory someone will google ap thsi and tewll me its only 11) take into acount traffic to get out etc....someone had 500 lbs of Tide siting there to clean a track that had ben subjected to a 200gallon diesel fuel spill. That level of preparedness would make a boy scout sport wood.and a Sam's Club pallette of Tide

That's exactly what I was saying. Really suprised me no foam was on hand or used if it was on hand. What did surprise me was there was no fire equipment to deal with a fuel fire.
5 buckets of AFFF on hand and the educator in a side cab on one of those fire trucks, fire would have been out in half the time or better. And probably only used 2 buckets of foam if that ( a trained operator could have done it in less than one )
How could they not be prepared for a fuel fire of that magnitude ? A fuel can in the pits, or multiple car wreck could easily bring fire of that size.
sure, dry chem extingushers handle a majority of the fires, if the fuel load is present, it can always be worse, and ya get caught with yer pants down.

I wonder what new safety changes NASCAR will do now that they know that this is possible. ^ X2 I mean I saw they had the fire truck come out but why did it take so damn long. Also could you imagine if this happened on the front stretch or any part with people near it.
