They're Pro2/Pro4 short course truck take offs I got from Maxxis when they were here for the TORC race in Charlotte.

It's all I got at the moment...
 
I could post a picture of brand new 300m axle shafts that are about 3/4" too short on both sides yielding them worthless...but you all know what axle shafts look like.

just weld some steel to the end I am sure that will work :)

You can cut them in the middle, extend to proper length, and build up weld to make up the difference. But it will only work with a 110v Mig running flux, anything else doesn't have the right heat/cleanliness balance.

My axles are pretty narrow and I need spares...maybe just maybe it's a slim chance in hell but worth a shot.

Rolled it out for some fresh air today.


I've got to get some tires soon. These Pro 4 tires are starting to look normal to me. Can't have that.

Seen a few other guys running there rams up high with no skid. Seems to be working out. I'm gonna give it a shot and save 40 lbs of skid/ram mount. Borrowing a ram mount from the build thread of a Bomber chassis. We'll see if I can avoid bending 10" of ram hanging out there.

I really wanted to do an 8 into 1 header setup because it sounds wicked cool. But, I made the chassis large enough to accommodate an exhaust system that goes down and out so I better use the space appropriately. I still might build some 8 to 1's that go down later on but for now a set of cheap F body headers and a few feet of tube make a pretty nice and compact exhaust system.
