March 8th I am going to Windrock to ride Walden's Ridge. I have been to Windrock several times, but never done this trail. If you haven't heard of this either Google it. This trail looks pretty intense and is not for the faint of heart. I created an event for it on Facebook. Link below.

Walden's Ridge At Windrock And SRRS Race

Bucket list item. Seriously hoping me and Chris do it next month. Had no idea @obullfish done it! I’m shocked, and now excited that someone else in our group may be on board with me and @Chris_Keziah.

Here I am coming down the big ledge unassisted with help from a good spotter.

I'd like to but don't know if I have the right rig. I'd be up for walking and watching for a first-time though.

I have been told it can be done with 35's and lockers. You are welcome to walk it and watch. Should I count you in?
33's and open rear at the moment so I wouldn't think of trying it but once I'm locked and finish the sliders I want to check it out.

Can be done with 35’s and lockers for sure. The worst part of the trail for 35’s and under is the first couple hundred feet. Right at the start of the trail there are a bunch of fin rocks sticking up that are rutted out so you need to keep smaller tires up on the rocks. The way the rocks are spaced makes staying on top of the rocks is very hard. Keep in mind there are very steep drop offs on either side of this trail and it literally is on top of the ridge. Very few places to get around another rig on the trails and someone with you needs to have a chainsaw due to possibly trees down on the trail that doesn’t get much traffic. Anyone taking their rig needs to be confident in their abilities and have a dependable capable rig due to what it would take to get a broken rig out of there.

I ran that trail last year in september and we took a TJ on 33's across with us... Less than 37s or very short wheelbase and 35's and the shark fins at the very start of the trail are very very difficult. The Ridge isnt too bad.

We’re going to be there that weekend. You guys know that SRRS #1 is there 3/8-3/9 right? Plan on the area being packed.

We're pulling a group together for that weekend. Not sure we'll be with you on Friday. We may hit it on Saturday during the race and then hit some other trails.

Edit: we're bailing out. Too many people and we've all ran the trails. Time to try something else. Have fun, kids.

Someday is March 8th. Plenty of time to put in for vacantion and make it happen.
Tempting. I need a few more nights of wrenching to troubleshoot my elockers and pull a leaf from the rear. Otherwise the 4runner could do it.
