Lifted PSD unmarked patrol vehicles?! What?!

Also saw one one of the new Chargers...Solid Black w/ tinted windows...saw it on US1 w/ blue lights had someone pulled over...I believe it's a NCHP car...watch out around Sanford area !!
haven't seen the undercover mustang lately though... there was a cool as hell black cop always driving it for a while, then it just sort of dissappeared....
theres caravans, impalas, malibus, a few late model 90 jimmies, chargers, mustangs, the truck you are talking about (the blue one), theres also a maroon z71... all sorts of cars in wilmington that are unmarked

I saw him, he gave me and my girlfriend a seat belt ticket last week while i was on the way to court to pay my speeding ticket!
Not cool in my mind, its going to be 2 points on your license this summer WTF!
Brendan
i got nailed on i95 in florida in a similar way. they had a guy dressed like a construction worker using a piece of surveying equipment that housed the radar.hell the best is when they set up a constrution zone and a officer sits on the dozer with a radar gun and just clocks people then other officers pull them over when they pass. i mean i can't say i blame them. wilmington is one of the most dangerous places to drive in the nation.
Why is it not cool that he wrote you a ticket for breaking the law?I saw him, he gave me and my girlfriend a seat belt ticket last week while i was on the way to court to pay my speeding ticket!

while i certainly can't fault an officer for doing his job, i think the seatbelt law is ridiculous. it's not the government's place to enforce such things. not wearing your seatbelt poses no danger to anyone else. speeding, etc. can.Why is it not cool that he wrote you a ticket for breaking the law?
I can understand letting your speed drift up a little or not noticing the limit changed on the same road, but to decide not to do something that takes 2-3 seconds, can save your life, AND keep you out of a ticket, I don't understand.
Especially with the vehicles we drive and how and where we drive them.
i would hope that's not the reasoning. selling/auctioning them off would make just as good of an example to criminal, and create some $$ for other things.they like to show off the vehicles they seize
I agree that auctioning them off would be better, but I also think letting people know that they can and will seize property for criminal conduct is a pretty good idea. I've seen a few vehicles being used by the police with decals advertising that it was seized. Now if they would just take a few crack houses and make them police stationsi would hope that's not the reasoning. selling/auctioning them off would make just as good of an example to criminal, and create some $$ for other things.
