Xtra Jeep Build Thread

Put some 1.25” wheel spacers on it yesterday, bled the brakes, and finally got it to a point where I could wash it instead of just working on it. :D

It’s not quite “finished”, but I’m over the hump finally and actually have driven it around and put about 40 miles on it this weekend. Rides and drives great.

Clean. I mean clean. Fellers, I've seen this rig and it is NICE. I cannot wait to see this up for sale. The tek screws holding the side trim on are a nice touch.

Im taking bids for paint colors and seat selection. Highest bidder gets the jeep with choice of color and seats!

Let’s raffle this one off.
I think this is an upgrade from the $30 XJ, so I’d say raffle tickets are at like $35 in 2024 dollars.
A day late and a few dollhairs short. For everything that's nice, there is a price, and for all you ballers, here's a stack of dollars. A forum member who's been watching this thread sent me an offer last night that I couldn't refuse, and picked it up about 30 minutes ago. :D

(those are mostly $20's, but it looks way cooler with the Benji's on top)

Don't worry, it's staying in the NC4x4 family, and I'm sure it'll pop back up.

Oh man. I'm probably years late and a couple of hundred short. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do with it.

My vote: Fender trimming, 33s, 4.10s done.

Sorry Matt, I haven’t kept you up to date on my slightly less XtraJ lol. So here’s a quick photo dump. And yes, before you say it, CAI and TBS gave at least .021% idle HP.

Lookin good man. I’m still mad at you for letting me see yours and drive it, haha.

To whom it may concern, @April Fools decided she didn’t wanna buy the XJ after all so I guess I’ll keep piddlin with it :D

Pretty cool it already has cruise control when you got it. People pay a pretty penny to salvage the clock spring and switches out of junk yard XJs the last time I checked.

Welp, it actually did get sold today. Super nice young guy that’s here in Gaston County, so hopefully it will still be around. His buddy that drove him out said something about squatting it, so we cranked up the excavator and haven’t heard from him since.
He plans to keep it how it is and just use it as a driver and light wheeler for now. I already miss it, and there will be another, but I got bills to pay and trucks to buy.
