All of these shenanigans could be avoided with an excavator and a tractor...or a skid steer. That seems like a much better idea :D

The Lowe's around here are phasing out the fasttrack stuff. VERY little in stock

... And make it JUST different enough to not be compatible with any previous version

To be fair to them - fastrack is rubbermaid branded. I give that a little lee way.

I hae them bcause I have a fair amount of kobalt "K track" stuff that they obsoleted to start selling rubber maidd and now crapsman...but of course the craftsman isnt compatible with the K track.

I bought two sets of these SmartRack Storage systems, probably close to 20 years ago. I only put one up, & broke one section running a screw through it. Cobbled it together, but it didn't hold. I've done nothing with it since, nor installed the second one. Two damn hard drilling concrete block! These might have been Lowes, I don't remember now. I have a few things hung, the rest sit in the floor, as you can see. I got a crap load of wire shelving, & shelf L brackets. I put maybe 15' up in my garage. None in the concrete block basement. Like many things, just taking up space in a corner!

I have found nails and concrete block don't work well.
Yes.....you'd have to go all the way back to my original post. But I agree. But I have hammered a few cut nails into block or mortar joints. I don't fully understand the difference but them dang things work when needed.
