I don't know you....but I really don't like you. You may very well be a fine individual, but I'd kinda like to kick you squa in the nutz o_O

Friggin killer score man

Nice score!

Ultimately, most of the time, It's the Buyer that determines the final price!

Usually but not on the LJs it seems. I have been trying to buy one with a manual and under 100k miles for a year now and the lowest I have gotten anyone down was to $15500 ($500 under their asking price). Most I have seen are $17+k and the sellers aren’t interested in going much lower

That’s an insane price. How’d you manage that?

salvaged title, side impact. No frame damage. There was the prior owners (1 owner, really nice older guy) information in the dash. I called him and he said a celica ran under the passenger door. He had it fixed by a jeep dealer then traded it for a used corvette a few years later. If you look you can see the body mount and a scratch on the frame. I had it checked out, no weird tire wear, no issues. It was at a dealer, not listed on their website. They do their own financing, therefore when I asked the price they wanted 12,500. I told them no way, I had cash and would pay them 7500. Guy called me back the next day and said he would take 8600 since it was tax time and he needed cash to finance people, plus apparently its a pain to get financing for a salvaged title. I have been looking for about two years. It takes time, these are like gold.

Mine was a repo, similar experience. I noticed the bent body mount, figured it had been wheeled to be damaged like that, but makes sense.

Big Thank you to Metal Cloak, and DPG Offroad. Since Savvy is doing most everything aluminum when I placed my MetalCloak order they said it would be to light, and I would be unhappy with the ride. Therefore I called DPG Offroad. After talking to derek for about an hour we went with a modified Kit with the "newer" JKS arms, OME long travel shocks, HD stabilizer, and a little different bump stops. Also talked to savvy, and they went to ship my crossmember and armor they noticed there were some quality control issues with the crossmember. They will be at king of the hammers next week, so I'm looking another two weeks before it all comes in......also since I changed lifts advanced adapters delayed me by a week for the driveshaft.... now awaiting parts.

Had some goodies show up (DPG SuperUltimate Kit, OME Long Travel shocks, and brake lines). Also got the title back as not salvaged. Turns out it was not a salvaged vehicle.....a side impact in 2016 repaired by a dealer. Double checked the carfax, and low and behold it has an immaculate service history. Explains the newer brakes etc. Why on earth they did not change the plugs which were toast I will never know. Those are done now.. Savvy shipped my armor, BL, MML today as well! Advanced adapters SYE and Tom woods goes out tomorrow, and here by Tuesday! Still can't decide on tires...

Started cleaning and painting the savvy under armor today! Glad for some good weather! Hoping to get the bl, mml, and lift on next week. Then the week after sye, tummy tuck so I can measure for the driveshaft.

Got some progress done. Honestly the lift, mml, and tummy tuck were a little bit of a pain. Only one broken shock bolt thank the lord!

Well finished the tummy tuck, did some torque checks, put in the savvy transfer case shifter, and got her home. Driveshaft comes next week. Still need to put the oil pan skid on, tube and gusset the front axle as well as get the gears and tru tracs in. Dark photos since I got her home late. Nice flat belly!!! Didn’t disconnect the trac bar and already have a decent flex.

Oil pan skid in, some fine adjustments on the arms, and then re torqued every nut and bolt. I have the sliders to put on, winch then time to tear into the axles for gearing sleeves tru tracs.....
Ground clearance at the tank increased by 6 inches from stock (lift plus tucked skid) and 4.5” at the transfer skid. I’m sure some settling will occur but a lot better than stock. The dpg kit with jflex arms and long travel ome ride great! Since I’m staying light with aluminum and minimal steel, the medium duty springs are great! I still haven’t hit the bump stops when flexing yet.

Sliders on, savvy sliders are awesome! Also scored a sleeved, gusseted, trussed, and Currie steering rubicon front axle! Ordered master install kit and Detroit tru trac for the rear, and matching gears (going 4:56) for 285/75r16 cooper stt pros!

Tires and wheels finally ordered, got the Rubi 44 (gussed, sleeved, trussed, shafts, Currie 1 Ton etc.) which should be easily strong enough for the 33” tires. Went back and forth on gears and have decided 4:56. 4:88 will be to deep for my purpose. Checked the rubi pump and locker and all is well! Aim is to have tires and wheels mounted, axle in and geared by the first week in June...
