Yo Miggers!

I hope it works out for you. My 210 MP gives me fits. Trigger is super touchy, the power cord will pull out with the littlest pressure, and I have never been comfortable with it. I had a friends Miller mig unit here for a couple years and I did very well with it. I just replaced the liner and thought I had it figured out but I think there's something internally wrong with the gas valve or solenoid, or...? I see other people that are very happy with theirs also so hopefully its just mine or me. lol
I did see a handful of complaints about the 210. The new 211 is supposed to be a lot better, and the 215 as well.

along with this thread; I have never welded with an inverter machine. My most used machine at home is a lincoln powermig digital 255. Would I benefit anything besides space savings? I have looked at all of these welders listed in the past since I dont use anywhere near the max 50% of my current welders output.

I agree with Braxton. At work we had nothing but problems out of all our Miller stuff (newer inverter machine's) and have converted to Everlast. We haven't had any problems with those. If I were in the market for a new mig machine this one would be it. We got one a couple years ago at work and its a beast. It does everything really well include spool gun aluminum. Very easy to use and impressive.

That said, at home I have an older Hobart 210MVP and its probably the welder I'm gonna die with. It goes months if not years and never gets used. I just don't use one at home enough to justify replacing it (no matter how hard I try to convince myself).

this is what I have and works great

Lincoln 215 MPI showed up yesterday. Got it setup and welding this evening. Pleased so far.

Immediate improvement over my old Hobart. Right is my old welder, left is the new one.

Don’t judge em too hard, this was done one handed on a step stool, overhead, and was literally my very first weld with a new welder, helmet, and gloves, haha.

But I’d also love feedback on how I can improve. Here’s weld #2.

Finally got some burn time with a new Lincoln today. I’m very pleased with it. It definitely welds better than I do. I helped @Scott86MJ get his truss connected to this Superdoody D60 that he got from @Noel.

On some of the final burns where I was connecting the 3/8” plate to the 1/2” axle tube, I turned it all the way up to near the top of its capabilities, and I’m pretty sure it transitioned the spray transfer mode and laid down some really nice beads.
