I'm just here to act incredulous over this statement.
I know. Its crazy. Brother and Dad both just bought new cars and haven't had a tow hitch installed yet. My father in law is the only option. But I think I am just going to get my in laws truck and rent a trailer from Tractor Supply on Saturday and just get it done.

How big is the deck? Like others have said - it should just fit in the truck bed. If the deck is >40" you may have to remove it so it will fit between the fender wells, but they are typically designed to come off pretty easily. I know on my old Simplicity I've removed the deck two dozen times or more and can do it in about 90 seconds. Then just get some ramps, or park te htruck on a hill and drive it in, and slide the deck beside it. Way faster than renting a trailer.

Maybe 2-3 miles. Problem is, its down Wendover which is a very busy road.

EDIT. 3.8 miles to be exact.

I live off wendover and will most likely be hauling my jeep somewhere this weekend. If we can coordinate I am happy to help you out.

Rent you a pickup from Home Depot for $20, back into a ditch and load up or get some ramps. Shoot they even have flat bed pickups at HD.

I imagine it goes at least 6mph, so about 40 minutes. You coulda had it home by now.

No fawking way I would drive a riding mower down Wendover. 95% chance of getting a ride in an ambulance.

Has anybody thought about commissioning @BigSouth for a design??? His sketchy ass plywood-held-together-with-bubblegum thing made it cross country, I'm sure he could design something to get a lawnmower across town.

Proof is in the puddin... Redneck ingenuity is what gets most of us off a trail and back home with nothing but duct tape and a ratchet strap. Lawn mower... in my sleep!

Back when I rode a motorcycle (and I did some STOOPID stuff) I wouldn't get on wendover. Even the high point end

It looked funny on my 20' deck but it's been moved and I'm enjoying my reward
