So I have my flame suit on, but I now drive my dodge with the mirrors flipped up even while not towing...

Let me explain why, the dodge is wiiiiiiiiiide in the back end and the mirrors flipped down are not. The only way I can see around the truck and whether I am about to curb the rear tires is to have the mirrors up. So now I do get why all of the dually dodges drive around with the ghost trailers...

Douche :D

I never really understood the hub bub around mirror placement, usually I set them once, and they never move again until I sell it and the new owner decides to move them. Thank goodness for multiple key memorized mirror positions, now I don't have to fight with my wife every time we get in and out of eachothers vehicles.

Use to give @Chris_Keziah so much grief. Until I came to the 4 way up from the house in my honda behind a stock Dodge dually without his mirrors flipped out. I was about 3 car lengths behind him and closing when his mirrors completely disappeared behind the rear dually fenders

It’s because you have the old style mirrors. Get the newer style with 2 independent mirrors. No need for douche, way better visibility in the down or up position. I use the outter strip to watch the rear tires and if set right they can “report” from the white line all the way up to blend in with your main mirrors. Same goes for when in the upright position.

I'm not sure it's possible to own a Dodge and it not bring out a little inner douche, some more than others.

I will say that Dodge mirrors are useless flipped down, eventually I'm gonna Ford swap the entire truck so I can get better: Seats, interior, mirrors, chassis, trans, etc.

Its more accepting when its a dually. Like @skyhighZJ said, the new style mirrors are a lot better than the old ones. Getting them set right and that blend between the big and blind spot mirror is key. I can't remember which set my 99 had on them, but I always ran them flipped out for whatever reason? For now, I'm rolling around flipped in since picking up this '18. Maybe I've scrubbed the douche off since then. Doubtful.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard today, it's still early though. We have multiple trucks all different brands with multiple hundreds of thousands of miles on each truck. The dodge interiors chassis and trans have all faired better than the ford trucks.

I think it all depends on the trailer in tow. I’ve NEVER needed them flipped up. I also tow flat, open trailers. It might would be different if I had an enclosed trailer, but I’ll never drive around empty / unhooked with the mirrors up. It just looks dumb. Might as well flatten your bill and squat your rear.

How does it look dumb? The ford mirrors are larger in size and stick out just as far but nobody seems to hate on them. If you start using them flipped up you will hate looking through them flipped down.

I tried it in the yard one day right after I bought my big trailer. Did absolutely nothing for me. Beyond that, it’s just my personal opinion. You shouldn’t take it personally. It’s like people telling me my mohawk looks dumb or my tattoos look dumb. You had the right comment earlier. I wouldn’t give you shit about it. If I did, tell me to F off.

So basically YOUR experience is more valid and carries more weight than anyone else's....EVER o_O

Did Shawn take over your account briefly?:flipoff2:

Weird that you do this shit to other people all the fucking time, and yet accuse others of doing it constantly.

Glass houses, etc.

That is still a matter of personal opinion if someone thinks one truck has better this or that vs another truck. I don’t think it’s fair to say thats the dumbest thing ever. I tend to agree that Ford has a larger cab, better seats, better looking mirrors, sounds better, etc but that’s only my opinion.

Some people love everything about Dodge trucks, who am I to say they’re dumb?

Maybe but if he likes everything ford except the engine then it would be smarter to swap the engine into a Ford than swapping mirrors interior and trans etc into the dodge

I didn't take it personally just don't see how someone can think it looks dumb when other trucks have mirrors just as large or larger but they are fine with those and not the dodge ones.

Actually, he hates the engine as well. Hasn’t been impressed at all with the legendary Cummings and has regretted the purchase after the first week. Lol.

Then why doesn't he sell the truck?
