I have an idea of having a shop night here at my new shop. Everyone has something to work on, so we can take turns working on each others vehicles, be it their DD, trail rig, or wife's ride. I have soft drinks on hand, but bring your own beer, and your designated driver if you do!
So, anyone interested? tools supplied, but and specialty tools you will need to check with me to see if I have them.

Interesting...I just said something very similar to a band of misfit toys last night.

What is the shop rate per hour? ( since it is in the for sale section o_O)

What did those misfit toys say? I bet they all just rolled there eyes and said "great, another bronco guy who can't work on his own shiite" :p

Pretty much were unsupportive assholes...and didn’t recognize my unspoken need for belonging and acceptance.

Sorry folks, Yes, the old guy posted in the wrong section! Some moderator fixed it for me LOL.
***On another note***
I am not looking for big multiple day type projects. I'd like to be able to use my shop at other times too. That being said, if it doesn't get fixed on shop night, you could leave it and come the next night(or day) and finish it. I am around home most every day.
Mainly looking for local folks that doesn't take the hours to get here.

There needs to be a lot more of this going on. Lots of variables to play with on my end but.... I will be diving into a 4.56 install on a HP60. I hate rolling around on a greasy floor by myself.

If you know how to install a RnP, and have needed special tools, bring it on! We can put it on the lift and you won't have to crawl under it.

BTW two bays, one with a 10K lift, the other, just a floor. Have heat, and music(sorry, no heavy metal or rap crap. Most old Rock and some country)

I'm nowhere near as good as @Jody Treadway and probably won't ever come close, but I can hold my own.

We used to do this at my house for years. All the buddies would come over once a week and we would work on whoever’s rig, didn’t matter. It was just great fun hanging out and talking junk with friends. Then we all started having family’s and life got busy. I have to say I miss it a lot. Too bad your 2 hours away.

We do this a couple times a year with Mid Carolina Jeepers.

Words of Advice, keep the projects manageable and don't get working on more than 2 or 3 at a time. We've done everything from lift kits to locker installs. You pretty much end up with a couple people that are in high demand and have to bounce around, so keep it manageable. You also can have that nutsert that spins in the frame or a broken bolt that ties up a bay for the whole day or longer.

Keep your tools organized. I've had a few things like sockets and wrenches disappear. Not that people steal on purpose, but they end up in someone's floor or another tool bag.

I'm adjacent to family land so we typically pair it with a meal and some trail riding / playing. Half day working then go play.

Fawk You old man.
When i'm there Sunday, it's gonna be all NWA and Metallica Bish.
And me building shelves for you, drinking beer and talking shit.

FWIW, Chip is only 39 days older than me.
But does loooove watching the Golden Girls.
I prefer listening to Rammstein...

Same here. I'm mid 30s. Back 12-15 years ago it was ridiculously easy to get together an all night wrench-fest, weld party, bonfire, loud music, rig builders throwdown. Followed up by a 4am late night pre-wheeling trip hammer time. Just pick a town and an address and you'd have 10 people and three cases of beer waiting on ya.
Damn that was the life and no, I'll never grow out of it.

Do I need to re-PM you my number?

Check yo inbox.

I sure wish there was something like this around the triad area, but my project would take a day itself to get some things done on lol. With that being said, even though you are 2 hours away I'd be down with just showing up and help work on stuff. I have plenty of tools, welder, plasma cutter, ect, that I could bring if that helps. Shoot I've got a 4runner that needs a new rear fender made if anyone with bodywork skills shows up.

You have my number. Any questions or pattern evaluation needed, holler.
You're still my favorite sandlapper. Never liked @ghost anyway. :flipoff2:

I've never been close enough to anyone to get in on these things.... and lately I do more burning in the burn barrel then anything.
