Well if nothing else, me and munchkin will ride down for Saturday.

There is a solution for that.....tell her the guys at NC4x4 got wind of it being her birthday, and is throwing a party. IIRC, @jeepin' jen knows where to get the cupcakes.
 
My vote finally counted for something. SWEET! I’ll be there with the Mrs in the RV.
 
Anyone else down to do some kayaking that weekend? My 10xt Old town will be mounted up top.

There is some awesome caves you can get into with a Kayak. I’ve never done it, and don’t know where they’re at but I’ve seen pics and it looks cool.
 
I'm not totally sure how these dates will work. Jeep Jamboree is the same weekend at the same location unless Chris is making them stay at the training center this year.

Regardless of weekend, I'll do my best to make it.

Made for one hell of a story last year to pack my ex out with a U-Haul that day and be in front of a bonfire that night with a jar of moonshine.

Can't wait to see the trouble we get in to this fall...

For all you pansies saying “hate I can’t make it” y’all need to man up. If it’s anniversaries or birthdays or something I get it. But don’t come in here with that whole “I gotta work that weekend” crap.
Maybe I have just been spoiled, but I have never, in the history of ever, had to ask for planned time off. I have simply said “I won’t be here this day”
You have 5 months. Sorry, I couldn’t plan this deal around 1 or 4 people. I put it up to vote to let majority choose. If you’re @Ron and it’s your daughters birthday I get it, I hate it, if it’s your anniversary, or your mother’s born day, or your wife’s born day, etc. I get it. But if it’s cause “you gotta work” or your wife’s cousins best friends gold fishes birthday party, you need to grow a pair and/or get a new job. If you wanna come, you’ll schedule the time off. It it’s inconvenient, I can’t help it, take it up with your wife and try to plan to next one yourself. I really want everyone to come, but I can’t possibly please all you needy bastards. @Ron this isn’t directed towards you, love you mean it, wish it were different.

Unfortunately the railroad doesn't give a crap, we have no choice but to work on call every other weekend and I'm on call everyday during the week. Gotta protect the public and keep freight moving at all hours of the day. My feelings are not hurt that I can't make it but getting someone to hold call for you is like pulling teeth. But ill sit back and take every dollar they want to give me.
 
I'm out, that's the same weekend as the national essential oil convention in CLT and my wife is dragging me along.

I wheeled last year with @kcox506 and others. If the race jeep gets done it will be wheeled. If not the big ole turd Ghost will be wheeled there.

Some of us wheeled, some sat around and drank beer and ate food all day.

I was reminded today that I have something going on that Saturday night so I might just ride down Friday and hang out until lunch on Saturday or something. Or I might skip the other thing and stay all weekend. Or I might have to work lol.

URE is right next door to this site, so it is easy to go wheel for the day. Not sure that it would be worth the haul with your buggy to hit URE. Mini-bike grudge matches seem to be a hot ticket though.

I’m just lucky this go round. Nuke power plant don’t care either. All you people with your fancy electricity so you can charge your iPhones. All my vacation, and I mean ALL, is picked by seniority back in November and December. Maybe if we planned things more than a few months in advance. Hell, my wife plans RV trips 2 years out. AND SHE’S A WOMAN!! Maybe we should make this event on the same weekend of every year so people like me can schedule. That’s right, it’s all about me!
