Cordless tools

Well, interesting update. Got it back from Milwaukee disassembled, unrepaired, and missing a screw and wire.

The only thing missing was a ground wire and screw that connected the battery to the motor housing. Decided to rig something up and put it back together to see what happens.

We will see how long this lasts!

I gotta give em credit, their free repair manual on their website is excellent. Assembly was simple and intuitive except for the random cut black wire, but once I found that we were rocking and rolling.

You must have a different model. The one they bought for our shop was a worthless POS. We told them to take it back we will stick with air.
It isn't mine. But it did the job. I guess beast should have been more in reference to it shear bulk. Personal preference for me is in air everything. I have afew dedicated cordless stuff but the youngins in the shop swear by nothing but battery. I love running circles atound them drilling and zipping apart trucks. I get ahead and take a break on the creeper, then hand them my air gunšŸ˜‚.

Im grandpa for my tool selection.

I needed a new leaf blower for the shop so I picked up the 3rd gen Milwaukee single battery blower when HD had it on sale for $130 around July 4th, and I gotta say, it is awesome. The first gen had mediocre power and was loud, the second gen had decent power and was loud, the third gen has good power and is exceptionally quiet (for a blower). There was something shrill about the first 2 generations that really made it annoying to me. That is gone in the 3rd gen. Also, battery life seems to be very good, and the low speed trigger modulation is nothing short of amazing. I had a fire going the other day and was able to get the air so gentle that I could get within a couple inches of the coals and stoke them without causing any ash to blow away. I highly recommend this tool.
