What have you done to your rig today?

Installed yj fenders and tj flares and finally mounted the 8274 in preparation for EJS in Moab.

Was the yj fender swap just to be able to install the flares?
Was going to ask the same thing. What's the advantage of yj fenders on a cj other than they're not rotten...

Yes or else I would have had to cut most of the rear part of the inner fender well out and the front corners don't fit great. Plus did not want to cut up some good factory cj fenders. In hindsight I should've test fit them first so I would've seen three holes near the grill still exposed, but I was in a rush. Paint did not match either so just as well I guess I'll fix it sometime in the next decade.

Yes, the bumpers are actually the prototypes from when they started up the company. Sadly it’s no longer in business.

Man. Those bring back memories. They were the hot stuff we all wanted in high school.

Doing some painting while the weather is nice; I painted the backside of the bumper for my red truck since it was looking rough, I had done a "rust-proof clearcoat" when I first bought it because I liked the shiny finish. What a waste that was, I should've just painted it black to begin with. Wire wheeled and wiped down with mineral spirits, two coats of POR15 later it's looking good!

I'm gonna polish it up before it goes back on the truck; but I'm debating on installing it now or waiting until I get the steering redone so I'll have more room to work.

Anyone got any good recommendations for a steering shop that rebuilds or offers rebuilt boxes for OBS Chevy trucks relatively near central NC?
